My Summary
About Me
I am a Level 4 qualified childcare professional and I'm looking for a lovely family to work for as a nanny in the Sevenoaks area.
I am 31, hold a full driving license and am currently in the process of renewing my DBS/CRB check along with my First Aid training.
I have just had a wonderful year off after having my first baby and am now feeling more than ready to get back to work.
Nannying has been an amazing career choice for me and I love every element of having that one on one care and responsibility for children. I enjoy encouraging children's learning and development through play and age appropriate, fun activities. I'm a very active person who loves the outdoors, travel, walking, socialising and cooking.
My Experience
I have over 12 years of professional childcare experience. I began studying level 2 childcare in 2002 then continued to study level 3 and obtained my level 4 whilst working.
When I finished my studies in 2005 (during which I worked in placements as a nursery assistant, teaching assistant and mothers help with newborn twins), I began working as a nursery nurse. I worked at the nursery for 6 years and during this time worked with children aged 3 months to 5 years as a nursery nurse and was later promoted to pre - school room leader. I left the nursery to move to Australia where I worked as a room leader in a childcare center with babies aged 3-19months for 18months. After this position I began working as a nanny. I worked as a full time, sole charge nanny caring for 2yr old twins at their home in Sydney until I left to return home to the UK. I worked as a full time, sole charge nanny for a wonderful family in Sevenoaks with 3 children aged 5, 3 and newborn for 2.5 years leaving only to go on maternity leave.
I am now looking for a part time position to run alongside my new role as a Mummy.
My Qualifications
CACHE Certificate Level 2 in Childcare and Education
CACHE Diploma Level 3 in Childcare and Education
CACHE Level 4 Certificate in Managing Quality Standards in Children's Services
My Availability
15 - 25 hours per week (Mon-Fri) - with some flexibility depending on families requirements.
If it is something you would consider, I am happy to bring my daughter (age 1yr Dec 2018) along with me should the hours and other child/children’s ages suit. This is not a necessity though as I have childcare options.
I am available for interview immediately and looking to start early 2019 but will wait for the perfect position.
