About Me
Fully Qualified Teacher with 13 Years Primary Teaching Experience. I have experience in teaching all primary subjects and students with varied needs and abilities including EAL and SEN children.

I believe in teaching and inspiring children to show up for themselves, others and the world, as their best self. I aim to prepare and empower the children I work with, for emotional, social, physical, mental and academic success. I'm committed to supporting children with learning and experiences that offer opportunities for appreciation, fun, creativity, joy and skill building. It is our responsibility as adults and teachers to teach children to be self-reflective, curious, caring and help build their individual, skills and talents to help them to be confident, self-motivated and independent individuals. I hope to be able to offer my service in supporting your child/children.
I am primarily interested in Primary, SEN and/or EAL tutoring opportunities but I'd also consider time as a facilitator to busy parents or carers, that wish to offer their children engaging and meaningful experiences/days out or part time childcare.

My Experience
I'm originally from Canada and I've spent 15 years travelling and teaching in different parts of the world. I've lived and worked as full time primary teacher in Brighton for 10 years. I spent over a year and half teaching primary school in Thailand. After completing my Bachelor of Education in Toronto, I accepted an outstanding opportunity to work as a private tutor for a family, travelling with them through Africa, Europe and the UK. I then moved to the UK and began supply teaching, building my experience with the English National Curriculum and gained my QTS. In 2016, I landed a permanent role at a school in Brighton and worked there for over 5 years. Currently, I am focused on growing my Tuition business and qualifying as a Certified Counsellor.
I am qualified and experienced in teaching all primary subjects. I also I have specified training and experience to enhance the learning of reading, writing, maths, art, ASD, mindfulness, mediation and emotional and behavioural self-regulation. I am studying counselling and have completed my Level 2 & 3 qualifications. My experience is primarly teaching KS1, KS2, SEN and EAL learners, as well as, learners in Care.
