Hi.
Firstly thank you so much for taking the time to read my profile.
I have been working in childcare for nearly 30 years.
I'm a mature but fun loving mother of 2 children girl and boy, both in Secondary school and iam based in the Forest Of Dean but also spend a lot of time in the Monmouth area as that is where my children attend school and clubs.
I would also be happy to expand my area from just outside the Forest of Dean.
I live with my husband our 2 children and 1 cat in a spacious smoke free home.
When first starting out on my childcare career I worked for 2 holiday companies as a children's entertainer based in UK and Europe.
I have previously worked in a private school based in their nursery for 3 years, prior to this i was a nanny to 2 children for 6 years who attended the private school, along with plenty of babysitting with families from the nursery and own family members.
I then took a break to raise my own children before heading back into work adhoc.
In Sept 2019-Sept 2021 I worked for a local family mainly taking day to day care 3 days a week for their youngest child from the age of 9 months -3yrs with occasional care for their older children when required.
I have since from Sept 2021-Nov 2023 just finished with another local family caring for their youngest child 2 days a week with again occasional holiday and after school care for their eldest child.
The children are now at school also and although I do still occasionly care for them adhoc Iam currently available 2 -3 days a week term time (although some school holiday days can be arranged) for a new family in their own home ideally between the hours of 9am- 2.30pm if based in The Forest Of Dean, however if Monmouth way I could be available until 3pm.
Some evening babysitting times weekdays and weekends along with after school pick ups could also be arranged and I can be more flexible at times if discussed in advance.
I feel so privileged to have been able to work for some wonderful families and iam still in touch with them all as I always create a special bond which I love.
My DBS has just been renewed and I hold a qualification in Cache Diploma Childcare level 3.
I enjoy engaging with children of all ages, incorporating crafts, outdoor play, walks, swimming, trips and base activities on the child's own interests along with providing new experiences.
Comfortable with horses, cats and small dogs.
Iam a non-smoker, have a clean driving licence and own a car, however mileage costs for any work use would need to be added if using my own.
Unfortunately a couple of my previous families are no longer active on the childcare site so unable to leave reviews for me however references are readily available.

Kelly was hired as a nanny for our family on a regular, part time basis for over 2 years until Jan 2024.
She primarily looked after our daughter - B - during her pre-school years (1-4) but also often our little boy (now 6) where needed / out of school.
Kelly is absolutely loved as one of the family by all of us, especially B. Kelly is an utter natural with children, as competent with toddler tiredness as with the overexcited energy of older kids. Our two have very different temperaments but Kelly immediately engaged with them both and their different interests, effortlessly and most importantly, genuinely.
She listens to them and respects them whilst being fair (and firm if needed).
Her phone is rarely in sight and her activities are wholesome and well planned (her knowledge of the local area is ridiculously good).
We have always had full confidence in Kelly that the children were in the safest of hands - they don’t even wave goodbye when they jump in her car!
Her experience is extensive, having nannied for many years, worked in pre-school settings, and raising her own family (her own lovely children testament to her and her husband).
As a mother, Kelly understands the challenges of childcare and has never once let us down (through inevitable sicknesses, shuffling plans and overnight stays)
I cannot recommend Kelly more highly :)
