I live with my husband who is my registered assistant and 2 sons in a comfortable sized semi detached property, in a cul de sac where there's available parking on the drive for easy drop offs and pick ups. We live on a friendly and quiet street with lots of surrounding trees so we always hear birds chirping throughout the day.

At Giggles childminding your child will have the enjoyment of a large dedicated playroom which is fully equipped with a wide range of toys, books and activities suitable for all ages and stages of development. The equipment available includes Lego and wooden building blocks, cars, a wooden railway, arts& crafts, multicultural toys, dolls and musical instruments to name a few. I also have a lovely inviting large secluded garden with a wide selection of outdoor toys and activities. I have a small vegetable patch in the garden where we grow vegetables such as potatoes, leafy vegetables and herbs that we can harvest with the children to use for our meal times.

When planning my day to day activities, I follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) guidelines aiming to develop children's physical, personal, social, emotional, language and communication skills.

Activities I offer at home are age appropriate guided, these can be free play, water and sand play, cookery and story times, arts & crafts including painting and other messy play, I have a dedicated art hut in the garden where the children are encouraged to use to freely to express their imagination through art and model making.

One of the rewards of being a childminder is having the opportunity to help children learn important life skills through everyday activities and I will encourage this development by occasionally taking children out on shopping trips, making visits to places like cafes, the post office and supermarkets.

At various times during the year I will also arrange to take them further a field including visits to museums, wildlife parks and animal farms.

I am happy to discuss any requirements that you may have for me when providing meals for your child. My aim is to give a balance, healthy and varied diet taking into account the five food groups and recommended five portions of fruit and vegetables a day.

Daily provision will include fresh water or milk, I also provide breakfast, lunch, tea, morning and afternoon snacks.

My aim is to provide your child with a safe, caring and stimulating environment where they will be comfortable and looked after and become part of my family.
