My Summary
About Me
Hi, my name is Amanda and I'm an Ofsted registered childminder in the Lapal area of Halesowen B62, conveniently situated on the borders of Quinton and Bartley Green, and close to Junction 3 of the M5. I live with my partner and our two grown up children in a detached house which has a dedicated playroom and large secure garden for the children to play in.
I provide a happy, warm and caring home from home environment for little ones. I work within the EYFS framework and offer a wide variety of fun and educational activities/experiences to enhance children's play, learning and development. We visit local parks, woods, library, farm, Botanical Gardens, play centres and regularly attend local playgroups so that the children can engage with the wider community and further develop their social skills.
Every child has a "Daily Diary" that is sent home with them each day containing details about their day. I also send regular photographs of your child engaged in a variety of activities to document their progress and achievements.
I offer settling in sessions prior to your child officially starting where your child comes for a few hours during the morning or afternoon which allows them to become familiar with myself and their surroundings.

I found Amanda after initially placing my daughter in a nursery where she didn't settle too well and she was 9 months. She seemed to engage with Macy so naturally when we first went to visit and I knew her home would be a loving and homely environment.
Amanda is warm, calm, has patience and a caring nature about her. She is also very professional and I know that Macy is safe and happy when she is with her. They go out and about and do so many fun activities! Also she eats a good range of foods. Macy has really developed with her talking and interaction/confidence since she has been going. Macy settled straight away and we couldn't be happier with what Amanda does with her.
Each day Amanda puts so much detail in the book about what they have done. It's great to read knowing how much fun they have being having and the pictures that Amanda collates in her folder are lovely to look through.
Overall I am just thankful that I found her and she definitely made my return to work so much easier. Macy had been going for the last 5 months and I love the bond that Macy has developed with Amanda and the other children who she looks after. We really appreciate the input she has given Macy, she's a star! X
Amanda has been looking after my daughter, Evie for 2 and a half years and previously cared for my older daughter Daisy. She is a fantastic childminder and I thoroughly recommend her.
Amanda provides a very welcoming, safe, family home where both of my girls immediately settled.
Amanda is very professional in the way she conducts her business. All her paperwork is very thorough and she regularly shares Evie's learning journey folder with me which is full of lovely photo's showing all the fun activities they are getting up to.
Amanda takes Evie to a local playgroup where she gets to interact with other children. She allows her to take part in a variety of fun activities (baking, drawing, painting, play do, dancing, singing, musical instruments, lego/building blocks, sand/water play, puppets and dolls, dressing up, outdoor play) and also takes her to the park, Chilly KiddiesJitterbugs and Botanical Gardens.
Amanda has given Evie the opportunity to learn new things and develop existing skills. She has really thrived because of the praise and encouragement she's been given.
Amanda is very friendly, kind and caring. She has established a brilliant relationship with Evie (and Daisy) and both of my girls love her very much. Sending your child to Amanda is like them going to a home from home. I love taking a peak through the window when I collect Evie and seeing her sat on Amanda's lap reading, dancing to music or hiding in a den they have made. In my opinion she is 'outstanding' at her job and I'll be sad when Evie has to leave her care to start school.
