I opened Caterpillar Childcare over 13 years ago, previous to this I worked in Architecture, in offices located throughout Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. I've lived in Chatteris for my whole life and was educated in the local schools here, before Studying in Cambridge. I always knew I wanted to work with children, having previously wanting to be a teacher and gaining experience in our local school. I live with my Husband our two wonderful children, and Our little dog, we also have a pony and my daughter is a keen rider. Having my own children aged 15 and 11, gave me this wonderful opportunity and I have loved every second of my childminding career since. Working with my two assistants, one of whom is a fully qualified nursery nurse, we allow for child led play, and fully 'live in the moment'. Every day is different, but is always fun!
We offer a high standard of care and we pride ourselves on our wonderful curious learning environment. We are a fully accredited “Curiosity Approach” setting. By working in partnership with you (Parents, carers & guardians) we provide a homely setting where children learn through play in an enabled environment. We would love for you to come and visit. We are all first aid trained as required by Ofsted, and have a vast record of CPD, we go above and beyond in the experiences that we offer. Every child is welcome in our lovely inclusive setting and I can assure you of a fun, fresh, modern and enriching childcare experience for your child.
