About Me
I am a child minder in North Anston. I am registered with Ofsted. I have a degree and post graduate certificate in education. Ofsted have rated my setting as outstanding in all areas. (March 2018 & November 2023)
I have three children of my own, all at secondary school or college. Each one went to nursery or to a child minder whilst I worked full time. I am in the unique position of recognising how difficult it is to chose the right type of care and can assure you that the level of care I give to each and every child I look after is to the highest standard and the standard I wanted for my own children.
My Experience
I have been childminding for the past 4 years and previous to that teaching for the past 16 years and enjoyed every minute of both careers. I really love and feel honoured to experience and influence children at the very start, to get them ready for school and towards a path of success. After many years of tailoring programmes to suit every individual child in my classroom I have taken this experience and breadth of knowledge to planning a fun, exciting and educational programme of play with your child whilst in my care. I offer a bespoke curriculum for every child I look after which includes storytelling, tent and den making, art, painting, dancing, singing, music, baking, literacy, numeracy themed days (such as pirate, Knights, mini beasts, Disney characters) and much much more. My Qualifications
My 'past' is quite varied. I have been a teacher of Music, Art, Drama, Dance English, Life Studies, Literacy and ICT. I have worked at all levels and at all Key stages in education. I have been an assistant headteacher / assistant principal and worked whilst others looked after my children during the day so I appreciate how difficult choosing the right daycare can be. I offer what I wanted for my own children. I have a BA hons degree, QTS, PGCE and all the relevant first aid paediatric knowledge, refreshed March 2018. I have completed Food Hygiene (Level 2), Safeguarding and Child Development (Levels 2 and 3) and many many more related to Early Years education. I am fully registered with Ofsted, gaining an Outstanding grade in March 2018 and again in November 2023
My Availability
If you feel that I can offer your child a great day of fun, investigation, exploration and learning then please feel free to schedule a visit to the nursery. We are open from 7:30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
We are a term time only setting.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
I offer a bespoke package of childcare, please contact me for further guidance. As a guide I would expect £50 a day. I offer term time provision, which lets you pay for the days and weeks you need and not the ones you don't. The nursery is pleased to offer funding for 9 months to 4
year olds (subject to meeting the governments criteria - please see the childcare choices website for further details)

My son has been attending Squirrels Leap (or Becky's House as he calls it) since he was 7 months old. The care he receives here is outstanding and he absolutely loves going to nursery. Becky has a different theme every week and goes out of her way to provide a stimulating and engaging environment for the children in her care. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Squirrels Leap to anyone looking for childcare.
