About Me

Hey there! I am a 28 year old fully qualified childcare practitioner. I am currently looking for full time work and am studying at the Open University too. I do not drive but I have reliable transport for myself.

I am a confident, reliable, organised and dedicated individual. I am a good listener and am able to respect confidentiality (within appropriate reason). I am a friendly, loyal and tactful individual with the ability to remain calm in a crisis. I always work in a neat and tidy manner and perform well under pressure. I take pride in having an incredibly strong work ethic and staying motivated, I will not give up on something until it is finished to a high standard. I speak english fluently and am qualified in British Sign Language, and am able to speak basic french and arabic. I have excellent interpersonal skills and I am able to work independently at ease as well as remaining calm in a crisis. I take pride in my work and am passionate about what I do.

I have up to 10 years of experience with children now, I have gained experience working with children 0-13 years from all different backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures and capabilitiess; I have worked with children and taken care of children with additional needs such as physical disabilities and learning diabilities. I have not yet found any interaction challenging, but I am aware of my limits. If I am not comfortable with something I will speak up and tell you, because if I am not doing my job well then it is not only myself who suffers.

I studied Psychiatric Nursing at the University of Salford in 2015 and I am now studying BSc Psychology With Counselling with the Open University. I have recently worked as a childrens entertainer abroad with Thomas Cook.

My hobbies include keeping fit, photography and learning. I took an interest in keeping fit within the last 5 years, but have been interested in photography since I was a young teenager. I love to learn, I usually research topics such as psychology, neuroscience, mental health, mindfulness, feminism, photography and fitness.

I enjoy shopping, arts 'n' crafts, reading, cleaning and expressing myself, I have had a lot of crazy hair colours and have worn wigs in the past too, but for those concerned with appearance; I am naturally ginger, have 9 or 10 tattoos at the minute and no piercings.
