About Me

Hello,

I am a tutor and qualified primary teacher with vast experience of creating fun and engaging sessions for children covering all primary subjects.

I have a Bachelor of Education degree and have over 10 years of experience in teaching and tutoring pupils to reach their potential. I have worked with pupils in a variety of educational settings from 1:1 and online tutoring, whole classroom teaching, home education support and working with pupils with a variety of special educational needs.

Over the last 8 years, I have tutored many pupils delivering lessons across Primary Maths, English, and Science in a creative and engaging manner preparing students for KS1 Phonics tests, Years 2 and 6 SATs tests, 7+ and 11+ Exams, and individual entry exams. I have a proven track record of preparing students for entrance exams to London’s Independent schools.

I often specialise in supporting students with additional needs ranging from dyslexia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, ASD and SPLD as well as motor skills and social skills difficulties.

I have spent many years helping children to excel in their English skills. This has included working with students on reading recovery programmes and building the foundations of phonics learning.

I am committed to continual self-development, up to date with subject and curriculum knowledge, teaching and learning strategies and educational literature. I have a very large resource collection which is used to support children’s learning throughout lessons.
I believe that every student is different and ensure that I teach to their specific needs in a creative and engaging way. I like to get to know my students and build lessons around their interests, ensuring they are challenged and progressing in each session.

My aim as a tutor is to build my student’s confidence and build their skills for independent learning and problem solving within subject areas.
