About Me
Hi my name is Debbie I live with my husband, I have two grown up children who no longer live at home and we have a 6year old and 3year old grandaughter. I have been a registered childminder for 11years and worked in Early Years settings for over 20 years.
I have a warm and welcoming home, I hope to offer a continuity of care as close to their home environment as possible. I aim to encourage children to develop at their own pace. I have a safe, happy, clean home with a wide range of toys and activities for all ages. We do lots of craft activities and I plan activities around the children’s interests and ages to engage them for learning and development in a fun way.
We attend local playgroups in the morning a few times a week and soft play. We visit parks and farms and have lots of seasonal walks I love my job and have been lucky in having looked after so many children and have made some lovely friends in the parents who I keep in contact with . I find it is rewarding watching children learn, grow and achieve new things.
I am Ofsted inspected and regulated the same way as any Early Years settings.
My Experience
I have previously worked at the Birmingham City university Nursery age range from 4 months to pre school age children,
I was a Deputy Manager at a Pre school for 10 years 2-4years old
I have been childminding 10 years and have had children start from as young as 4 months.
I have very good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and childrens development and I have Special Education needs training.
Ofsted inspection, January 2024, graded GOOD .

I found Debbie in February 2014 when my son was 19 months after a bad experience with 2 different nurseries... By this point I'd lost all faith in childcare but had to continue working.
As soon as I met Debbie I knew I'd found a diamond and that my son would be happy in her care. Her home is welcoming and she treats the children as if they are her own. My 9 month daughter also joined her October last year.
She does a range of age appropriate activities, has a lovely garden and takes the children on regular outings to playgroups etc.
She always kept me up to date with developments and I could track my children's progress via an app called tapestry.
I always found Debbie to be 1000% reliable, flexible and she goes above and beyond to support parents of the children in her care.
We are all going to miss her!
