About Me

Hello :) I am level 3 qualified in childcare and education and have always loved working with children, I'm 31 and have been brought up around children my whole life as my mum is a childminder too. I now have 2 amazing children of my own who are my greatest achievements yet.

I worked in a nursery for years and then onto nannying which I loved.

The service I provide when nannying is safe, fun and happy care, I aim to meet the needs/routines of the children to a high standard,
I’ve made great relationships with the children’s parents which I feel is vital for them to be able to trust me with their babies, I make sure to listen to them and put into place (within reason) whatever they ask me to do. I provide daily activities, take them on outings and attend classes for their age and stage of development. But most of all, I make sure that they feel safe and loved in my care at all times.

Some of my other interests include the following:
- I am an enthusiastic individual who strives on a challenge.
- I have a very athletic background, going to the gym regularly and I was a competitive gymnast for 14 years, I am a qualified gymnastics judge.
- I was lucky enough to get the chance go travelling for 6 months which was an incredible experience.
- I enjoy family time and spending time with my friends and making lovely memories.

My Experience

I worked in a nursery from July 2011 to July 2016 - I was based in baby room (babies from ages 3 months to 2 years old) where I ensured the daily and overall needs of every baby was met to a high standard by following their routines. I also helped to promote their development by implementing plans, assessments and observations on a daily basis to ensure each individual child was developing to their full potential in a happy, safe and stimulating environment. Close communication and liaising with the children’s parents was vital in my role daily and in more depth during regular scheduled meetings.

Child-minding assistant – From this I have learnt that praise and encouragement is the key to giving children the pride and motivation to want to carry on and achieve further in life.

From August 2016 to current I have been a technical administrator in a water company which has helped me gain vital life skills but has also made me realise that i'm happiest working with children.

August 2017 - I worked as a nanny for a wonderful family looking after their baby boy from 6 months old and then later their little girl, providing safe fun and stimulating activities daily, attended age appropriate classes and many days out. Working with the parents I followed their routines for naps, meal times, scheduled activities. In time I did school drop offs and pick ups for their little boy, homework, play, dinner and the bed time routine. I was very lucky to have got such a lovely bond with the family and children.

Currently working nights at sainsburies after maternity leave with my second little girl so that I can be around for them, I’m now looking for part time nanny job as my eldest will be starting school soon and potentially bring my youngest along too (or she’ll be starting preschool soon so I’m open to discuss different options)
