About Me
My name is Evette and I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder who will provide Quality Care for your little ones in a homely, fun-filled, safe and secure learning environment. All activities are organised to meet the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
I have 3 children of my own. Two older ones have developed into independent young adults and my youngest is pursuing further education.
The little ones here enjoy outdoor play and visiting places like the Zoo, Parks, Adventure playgrounds etc and quieter times at indoor play. The younger ones enjoy ball pits and climbing aperatus playrooms, Libraries, sitting at home drawing/ colouring/painting/or construction play etc. Can't wait to share great times with your little one as well.
I am based in Nunhead, about 3 mins walk from Nunhead Station.
My Experience
I have a lot of experience with Childcare through life experiences of raising my own children which exposed me to a lot of different scenarios that can present themselves in caring for children and those of family and friends. I believe practical experience is precious and exceeds most explainations from a text book. I have also completed "Childminder Preparation Course" and have completed the following essential courses as part of my Continuous Professional Development:-
Healthy Child Programme Training
Observing, Assessing and Planning in the Early years Foudation Years (EYFS)
A Special Age and Stage - Children aged Two to Three

For my "Ofsted Inspection" I have been graded "Good with a few Outstanding areas Highlighted".

My Qualifications
I have a certificate in Paediatric First Aid, Initial Training in Childminding, Safeguarding Children and Childminder Preparation Course. I have been CRB Checked (Enhanced Level); i'm registered with the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) and also have a certificate in Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Catering. I am also a member of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY).
My Availability
I currentlyl have a spaces on Monday -Thursday
8am - 6pm and a few breakfast and afterschool places. I am flexible with addtional hours so get in touch and we can discuss any variations. References available.

My Fees
- Childminding from £10.00 per hour
Fees per day are dependable on Hours of Service and agreed at time of finalising contracts.

My daughter loved going to Evette house after school. She enjoyed the learning and playing with the other children. Evette took pictures to keep us updated on what the children were upto.

Evette looked after our son and daughter between the ages of 1-3 and also has had our eldest in the school holidays. They all love spending time with her and we can relax knowing they are in a safe, loving and fun environment. They have all thrived under her care. She sends updates and photos throughout the day and their days are full and fun. We feel very lucky to have found Evette and would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for quality childcare for their children.

Oh Thank You Posy, for this wonderful review. I have enjoyed every second spent leith your children. They love to learn and play which makes activities all the more fun. So rewarding. I’m coining to miss lil lady but I know we’ll keep in touch and see them from time to time and in the holidays. Thanks for choosing me to be a part of their very important early years. We found Evette when our little boy was just one year old, needing some part time childcare, full days. It was a hard choice, but Evette made it so easy from day one. Our little boy LOVED her (and still does), they formed an immediate bond and he was happy to be dropped off in the mornings and was always very happy when I picked him up, a sign of a great day had! Evette really listened to us and to our little boy, finding fun games, toys, books and activities she knew he would love and would thrive with. Evette taught him a lot over the year and a half, all about colours, numbers, the body, nursery rhymes and shapes. They went out to parks, playgroups and picnics and he was always fed so well and never came home hungry or upset. We would receive many updates, photos and videos of our little boys day, which was a highlight of our day! Our little boy has made great friends at Evette's, we really felt like he was part of her family and her ours. It was a very special time, thanks to her hard work and caring nature, which we are forever grateful for.

Both my children attended Brightstarz. As a new mum, I was worried about going back to work after my maternity leave. I came across Evette Johnson and got in touch with her. Evette was very warm & welcoming. My daughter was 8 months old when she joined Brightstarz. Evette became a second mum to my daughter and provided her with everything. She made sure that I wasn't left out and sent pictures & videos of my daughter's progress. My daughter attended Brightstarz until she was 4 years and my son later joined when he was 10 months. The kids have days when the would attend the library, parks, baby groups & even museum. My children love and adore her. Evette Johnson is a professional and the BEST at what she does.

Oh Wow!!!! what a lovely review Ekua. As you already know I am sooo Honoured to have been able to share their Early Years Learning and Development with you. They are and will always be close to my heart and I appeciate that we still keep close contact and now you give me updates on their continued progression with their learning. I miss them both so much. You were Ace Parents to work with as well. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful children with me and i so appreciate this lovely review.
I contacted Evette a week before I needed the childcare and luckily she was available. My 7 year old stayed 2 days with her and he loved it. Always smiling and happy, she made us feel very welcome. I will definitely use her services again if needed. Evette took a lot of photos to send to me to see what he has been up to during the day and he definitely had been having fun. We highly reccomend Evette.
