We have been attending this setting for over 5 years. Our first child stated in 2015/2016 and he thrived. He was well prepared for starting school; writing, potty trained and able to get himself dressed. My husband and I knew we would not attend any other setting when our daughter was born. Despite moving away from the area we were willing to travel the distance to take our daughter to this setting. We were confident that the personal care, love and attention that is given to each child was second to none. Gloria appreciates each child for their individuality and nourishes this. We see Gloria as very professional and a childminder that is able to meet the requisite needs of each child in her setting. The setting is never overcrowded so each child get the desired attention and is able to thrive very quickly. We highly recommend this setting to anyone looking for childcare. It’s been the best experience.
Gloria is a professional childminder. She loves the kids and treat them as her own. My child is so happy going to hers in the morning.
The settling period was of extreme importance for all of us involved. It did make us at ease and knowing that my child is in good hands.
Gloria has been looking after our 2 year old since April last year. Her set up is similar or even better than a nursery and keep rotating daily. The moment Gloria opens her door he will run inside with the biggest of smile. Now my son doesn't like to come home and he does long hours there. He's just enjoying himself so much.
Gloria is very flexible with her hours as she looks after him from 0700-1900 thrice a week. She even accomodate us on a Saturday when he was doing his trial.
She will only call if there is an issue but that has happened once when my son had a temperature related to covid.
I would recommend Gloria services without a doubt. She's is great with the kids.
Gloria is not professional at all. If your child is having a bad day she will call you whilst at work, saying she can’t manage your child. She also makes commits with you she can not hold up. Her well-being and her family’s well being is more important than you and your child’s well being. She will give to the policy about your deposit but then in turn, keep your deposit and refuse your child for the remainder. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend her to any working parents, who need a reliable and understanding childminder. It’s all about money for her and her family.

Response by Gloria on 14/01/2022:
1. It is unfortunate that a parent has made a false - negative review about my childcare setting on the website (childcare.co.uk).
2. The truth of this matter was circumstantial, I was not able to accommodate this parents request as it was not conducive momentarily.
l presented this contracted parent with an option which would allow her child to smoothly settle in before transitioning to alternative hours. However, the parent got angry and terminated her childcare arrangement with me, then requested for a refund of her deposit which is non refundable. This parent knew the terms and conditions before signing the childcare contract.
3. I have policy during initial visits and settling in’s, to present the parents with a weekly menu of meals I provide at this childcare.
This parent was delighted with the menu and highly supportive of the fact I particularly provide homemade, nutritious fresh food.
However, her child has not eaten my food since her whole period in my childcare. This parent after admitted her child is fussy eater and will not eat from anyone, then started bringing her child snacks. This parent has never been around long enough to witness the setting of how other children are eating.
4. This parent chose me to be her childcare provider from when she was newly pregnant.
Evidently, she saw a good standard of childcare, she saw my input in her nieces care and education.
I have looked after her niece from 15 months old till reception class, so she wanted me to offer the same care to her own child.
As a gesture of good will, l managed to hold a space for her child since 11th of October 2021.
I took half of the deposit instead of a full deposit, to help enable her child to start 4th of January 2022.
I refused to offer her child’s space to other parents who needed immediate starts for their own children.
I have done everything I can to support this parent but because it did not go her way, she decided to write such comments that is not true refection of myself and my childcare setting.
All her statements are fabrications fuelled by her own personal discontent.
Kind regards
Gloria
