Amazing!
Firstly, I’d like to say how easy it was to decide that Busy Bee’s was the perfect setting for my children.
I had initially spent a few weeks looking for childcare that would fit the needs of me & my children but was unsuccessful in finding anywhere that would fit my schedule & my childrens needs. Amelia has ASD, GDD and numerous sensory & social difficulties, Thomas was also experiencing some developmental set backs with S&L and social interaction so it was vital that I found the perfect setting for them to thrive & so that I could confidently & comfortably return to work, but I would never have imagined the progress they’d make in under a full academic year.
In the time they have attended the setting, Thomas has come on leaps & bounds, he started non-verbal & can now count to 30, knows his alphabet, shapes & he surprises me everyday with new vocab. Lisa has also taught him to be dry in the daytime, is off of his dummy, less reliant on his comfort rabbit, makes friends confidently, is safe in his behaviour & the most reassuringly, eatting his vegetables & has a stable routine. I have also seen huge improvements in Amelia’s social anxiety where she will comfortably enter school along with the other children rather than needing to go in 5 mins later to avoid the crowd, she also feels safe to eat at the setting & have food prepared by Lisa which is usually a massive trust issue for Amelia but now, Lisa’s “special pasta” on a monday afternoon is the highlight of her week!
I’d also like to add how easy Lisa has made my move back into work. I was very anxious about how my children would settle & I knew they would get lost in the crowd if they were to attend a more “traditional” nursery setting, but not at Busy Bee’s. Lisa’s setting is more of a home from home experience where they are taught, nurtured & loved to be independant & all strengths, unique personalities and achievements are acknowledged, rewarded & generally made a fuss of on a daily basis. Every child is made to feel special & her little people are made to feel like an extension to her family rather than her work which you can’t put a price on from a parents perspective. This also helps ease the “mum guilt” when you spend more time caring for other peoples children than your own. I get to go to work everyday knowing that they are given nutritionally balanced meals, snacks & drinks, a tailored, fun, enriched education & all the love that they’d also receive at home. My only wish was that they could stay at Busy Bee’s until it was time for college.
