Moving our daughter at 18 months from a nursery to Busy Bee's was the best decision we ever made. Lisa is a perfect childcare provider. From the first day, Daphne was treated with incredible care, with regular updates provided through Tapestry on how she was doing as well as how she was progressing for her key stages. Not only has Daphne been well looked after, she's come along so much in the 11 months she's been with Lisa in terms of her speech and overall development, we couldn't be happier with her progress. Lisa was able to give advice on how to continue with her development at home which we found invaluable.
Daphne has always had fun filled days - from dressing up days, to outdoor play in the summer, countless trips to the park, soft play days and library outings. She's been able to interact with children of all ages which has really helped her develop her social skills, and has formed really close bonds with those she's with every day. Themed days around different cultures and holidays have been used as a fun way to learn, and we always get the best hand made crafts to come home with.
Lisa herself is a very calm, genuine and lovely person. She has always been helpful wherever she can, and clearly loves what she does. She really does go above and beyond for the children in her care. She's been an amazing influence on our daughter, and we would have stayed with her for as long as possible if we weren't moving out of the area. I couldn't recommend Lisa enough if you are looking for childcare.
Lisa, we will miss you very much. Thank you

Jacob has been with Lisa since he was 10 months old, in this time Jacob has come on leaps and bounds with his development in all aspects physical, mental, social etc. He is starting school in September and is definitely at the stage where he is ready for this. Jacob is above all his expected lines on his development tracker.
Jacob has really thrives in the childminding setting he has been at with Busy Bees and everytime I pick him up he has learnt something new that day. This is down to all the hard work Lisa puts in too Jacobs and all the other children’s development and it really pays off.
It is a really happy and family oreintated setting, which I think is important when you leave your child somewhere you know that they are safe and happy and Jacob has always been both of these whilst in Lisa’s care.
They often go on fun days out visiting different places like soft play, play groups, the library, and different national trust sites and you get to see the fun they are having through picture updates and tapestry posts.
I would highly recommend Lisa/busy bees as a childminder, and if I was to need to use a childminder in the future I would definitely use Lisa.
Thank you for everything you’ve done for Jacob Lisa, I really appreciate it.

Firstly, I’d like to say how easy it was to decide that Busy Bee’s was the perfect setting for my children.
I had initially spent a few weeks looking for childcare that would fit the needs of me & my children but was unsuccessful in finding anywhere that would fit my schedule & my childrens needs. Amelia has ASD, GDD and numerous sensory & social difficulties, Thomas was also experiencing some developmental set backs with S&L and social interaction so it was vital that I found the perfect setting for them to thrive & so that I could confidently & comfortably return to work, but I would never have imagined the progress they’d make in under a full academic year.
In the time they have attended the setting, Thomas has come on leaps & bounds, he started non-verbal & can now count to 30, knows his alphabet, shapes & he surprises me everyday with new vocab. Lisa has also taught him to be dry in the daytime, is off of his dummy, less reliant on his comfort rabbit, makes friends confidently, is safe in his behaviour & the most reassuringly, eatting his vegetables & has a stable routine. I have also seen huge improvements in Amelia’s social anxiety where she will comfortably enter school along with the other children rather than needing to go in 5 mins later to avoid the crowd, she also feels safe to eat at the setting & have food prepared by Lisa which is usually a massive trust issue for Amelia but now, Lisa’s “special pasta” on a monday afternoon is the highlight of her week!
I’d also like to add how easy Lisa has made my move back into work. I was very anxious about how my children would settle & I knew they would get lost in the crowd if they were to attend a more “traditional” nursery setting, but not at Busy Bee’s. Lisa’s setting is more of a home from home experience where they are taught, nurtured & loved to be independant & all strengths, unique personalities and achievements are acknowledged, rewarded & generally made a fuss of on a daily basis. Every child is made to feel special & her little people are made to feel like an extension to her family rather than her work which you can’t put a price on from a parents perspective. This also helps ease the “mum guilt” when you spend more time caring for other peoples children than your own. I get to go to work everyday knowing that they are given nutritionally balanced meals, snacks & drinks, a tailored, fun, enriched education & all the love that they’d also receive at home. My only wish was that they could stay at Busy Bee’s until it was time for college.

Both my children have been cared for by Lisa for almost 4 years now , my little boy Alfie has been with Lisa since he was 9 months old and my little girl Lilly has been picked up after school and cared for by Lisa also for the past 4 years and during the school holidays. Alfie and Lilly both have a wonderful bond with Lisa who is very attentive to their care needs, they both have a wonderful relationship with Lisa and speak warmly and positively about their days they spend at the setting. I was extremely nervous about returning to work In 2018 when Alfie was a baby and Lilly had just started reception, working full time in a different area initially appeared a challenge as I wanted to ensure they were both well cared for and preferably together at the end of the day for pick up , the school day is so long and I wanted Lilly to feel settled and comfortable after her school day , I was very fortunate and found Lisa where this has been possible for almost 4 years now , Lisa has been flexible and provided a high level of care to both my children which I am extremely grateful for. My job role is a social worker and I currently manage a child protection team, finding a setting where my children would be safe , happy and provided with a high level of care was imperative, working within children’s services I have observed a number of child care settings which informed my decision that I wanted Lilly and Alfie to be cared for by a child minder. Lisa has provided my children with consistent and child focused care which has exceeded my expectations and every day I go to work feeling assured that my children are safe and learning something new each day. Alfie absolutely loves going to the setting each day , he is such a clever little boy and kind natured , Lisa has encouraged Alfie and taught him so much over the past 4 years , his language and communication has come on so much, Lisa has ensured Alfie is school ready and I am so grateful for the time and planning she has put into the learning she has provided to Alfie over the years. Alfie enjoys listening to music , arts and crafts, counting, animals, nature , going to the library, being outdoors and reading. Alfie has developed and learnt new skills in all these areas , he has learnt to understand the world and express himself through arts and design. The progress both Lilly and Alfie have made is amazing and Lisa has been attentive to both their individual needs, lisa will read to Lilly after school and support her with reading and counting , multiplications. Lisa has a wonderful family who both my children have a wonderful relationship with. Lisa has been an amazing childminder who I have a trusting relationship with. Both Lilly and Alfie will continue to attend the setting after school now Alfie has started school. I can’t recommend Lisa enough.

We've had our little girl with Lisa since she was 1 and she is now 4. The progress she has made since being at the setting has been amazing, she has learnt so much. Every day is different from days out to crafts for special days of the year, it is always nice to receive items/photos that everyone has made that day/week. Lisa also does little parties for the children for Christmas, Halloween and special occasions.
Our little girl walks into the house every morning as if it's her own home, she is just part of their family and she loves being there.
From our first meeting we knew Lisa was the right choice, the planning she set out and the information we were given was great. A review like this is the reason we met with Lisa in the first place and we hope that reading this review helps someone else to choose Lisa and they have as good an experiece as we have had. We can't recommend her enough. We will miss the Busy Bee setting.

Aw this is lovely Cath! We are definitely going to miss Faith when she moves up into big school in September but know she's fully ready for her next big 'learning adventure' I think personally that she will be teaching the teachers in no time😁 She's an amazing little girl who I've had the privilege of watching grow up from a baby into a lovely well mannered, extremely clever little girl. Hopefully we will still see her
