About Me
Hello , I have been registered since 1996 and I have 3 grown up sons ,I’m Near to Elmers End and Birkbeck stations
I do not do school pick ups , only care for under fives
Looking for parents who want a childminder as their first choice , accepting that some children will move on to nursery
I am a home setting and have a playroom , large garden and space in my front room for sleeping , I take the children out to local toddler groups on some days

We have 1 cat that stays away from the children! I have up to date DBS check , safeguarding, food and nutrition and first aid . I have a large playroom with direct access to the garden and we go to toddler groups and parks regularly.
I usually have 3 children during the day , childminders are home from home settings , safe with small numbers and can create close bonds with children
My last Ofsted inspection was graded good with one outstanding area
My Experience
I have been childminding since 1996 and have brought up 3 boys of my own so have good experience of parenting and childcare.
I have looked after chilldren with allergies, children with additional needs and special diets and have experience of all ages from birth to teenage. I have first aid training NVQ level 3 , safeguarding and montessori
My Qualifications
I have an NVQ3 in early years care and the equivalent childminding level 3. I am up to date with first aid training.
I have training in allergies and epi-pen, healthy eating, montessori and several other short courses
My Availability
I have a space from sept 2025 for any days Mon - Thurs ( minimum 2 days ) - no after school care or pre school pick ups

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Childminding from £8.00 per hour
Daily rate £70
Hourly rate £8
My hours are 8am - 5pm/6pm
After school session until 6 pm. £21
Funded hours available, depending on the number of days, Funding may only be available for part of the day with private hours for the rest of the day . Funding is stretched over 46 weeks so I can take 6 weeks unpaid holiday , so depending on whether it’s 30 (=24) or 15 hours (=12)
Funding is only paid over 38 weeks , stretched funding is an option allowed as a lot of settings including mine need to open all year round
Extra days payable privately at £70 for 9!hours , £75 for 10
£5 voluntary daily charge for lunch and tea , parents can provide food as an alternative option

My almost 3 year old has been here for nearly a year and has thrived. He settled in within the first couple of weeks, and has been excited to spend his days here since. I can count on him being well looked after, and doing a fun range of activities, including trips out to local playgroups. The children do arts and crafts, have lovely relationships with each other and all seem as enthusiastic to be here as my son is. He also enjoys his food, and loves the toys on offer. Communication is great too. Completely recommended!

My daughter has been at this childminders for 5 years and she has thrived here. My daughter has been well looked after and supported, which has really helped her grow into the mature and confident young lady she is now. Alison is caring, patient and always puts the children first. My daughter always has fun here and the children are all including in the meal planning. I wish I could give Alison more stars, I can't fault her, she always goes that little bit further to make sure the children feel welcome.
