About Me
Hello, I am an experienced ofsted registered childminder and am insured and fully trained to care for children from age 0 - 17 and have been welcoming families into my home, caring for them for 10 years plus.
I'd like to think of my home as a home from home for all the children who enter it, it's warm, welcoming and a safe and secure place to grow, learn, build happy memories, friendships, a sense of community and belonging where they are nurtured and cared for.
We have cats and dogs here and encourage the children to grow confident with them, we have a rota for the children to help with feeding and grooming them and we take the dogs on walks with the children to encourage confidence with animals and they learn how to care for them in a secure and safe environment.
We are a very outdoorsy family and like to try new and adventurous things all the time. I like to bake, cook and go for walks with all the children along with lots of other fun activites. I have a huge range of creative, arts and crafts and educational activities, toys and games for the children to have fun and learn with aswell as a great outdoor play area for the children to explore and enjoy to their hearts content where we enjoy water, sand, sensory and physical play.
We often take trips up to the zoo, the farm, soft play, playgroups, parks for picnics and play, the forests and much much more. Each season/month we learn around a different theme, be it a book, a season, a holiday or our values and encorperate our learning to involve our learning goals at that time which are individually planned bespoke for each child and their needs.
I provide an all inclusive service, providing cooked meals and nutritious snacks and drinks throughout the day aswell as baby food (home made) and provide nappies, wipes and changes of clothes wherever needed aswell as all activities and equipment for all needs. If your child has a special diet this will need to be supplied by yourselves to avoid confusion and safety reasons. I am paediatric first aid trained and have an extensive knowledge in Child psychology and development. I am constantly learning new things and bring this to my setting. I attend weekly training to stay on top of new developments and changes. This allows me to stay focused on the children providing them the best care i can possibly provide.
My Experience
I have a passion for families and I have loved raising my own children. I have worked for many years with children from all backgrounds both ethnic and disabilities and continue to do so. I have worked in schools, nurseries and hospitals. I have a nursing and a social care background and a child psychology certificate which I find very useful for helping me to understand each child as an individual, which in turn helps to get the best out of them. In my previous job I had the opportunity to run a house of autistic young adults with behaviours that challenge and needed to be able to act fast, think on my toes. remain calm and consistent and make quick decisions under pressure, I feel this has taught me the value of good routines but also flexibility to try new and different methods when one is not working aswell as patience and understanding.
My Qualifications
child psychology qualification, health and social studies, nursing degree, food safety and hygiene certificate and paediatric first aid.
My Availability
I have 1 space for an under 1 year old, 1 space for a 1-5 year old and 2 spaces for a 5 - 8 year old and 2 spaces for over 8 years old. I pick up and drop off at warden hill infant, junior and surrounding nurseries.

We found Lisa close to my work and She took our boy on for a short time while our house move was taking its time (thanks to solicitors twiddling their thumbs). We have one close to home but have continued to use Lisa when the other childminder is on holiday.
Our boy is always happy going to Lisa's and always impossible to get our boy away as he never wants to leave at pick up!

Lisa has looked after my children (3 Boys - A-11y, Z-9y, S-6y) for 3 years. We found Lisa caring, friendly, well-organised, calm and always kind not only to my children but also to me. She works well with my children (my oldest one has special needs) and always makes sure that they have lots of fun with her. She is always there when I need her, I can count on her anytime (sometimes I give her notice less than 24 hours and she always helps). We highly recommend Lisa to anyone who would like to use Childminder in the Luton area.

Lisa has always given the time and attention to my 5 boys over the years at different stages and treated them like family. My children have formed friendships with her children even now we have moved to a different town.
Lisa is always bubbly and happy to see them and can feel the friendly vibe, and my children are happy and excited to see her and to be going to her house. She is always creative with them and able to deal with their different needs, they alap het to go out on adventures especially in the holidays, honestly my kids have the best time.
I would always choose Lisa again if needed. Lisa you are amazing and happy to of met you and thank you for always looking after my boys so well and you are now family to us xx

Being a single parent of 4 I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care and dedication Lisa has provided to my 4 young children over many years. She has always looked after my four young children with love, patience and attention to their individual needs providing a happy environment for them. My kids are always happy with Lisa and never have had a bad things to say which is a testament to her character. Lisa has always been highly dependable with a kind personality and warm heart providing a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Over the years, she’s built meaningful relationships with my children, providing them with the support, guidance, and affection they need to grow into confident, well-rounded individuals. Her professionalism, reliability, and genuine passion for working with children make her an outstanding caregiver. I wholeheartedly recommend her and will always be grateful for the positive impact she’s had on my kids lives. Highly recommended.

I found Lisa to be a very pleasant if somewhat scatty lady. For example I dropped the children off one day and she told me that if I dropped them at x time they would go on the school run with her and she had a double buggy arranged. I then asked what would happen to the 3rd baby that could not walk in her care and she has forgotten there was 3 of them.
She has 2 dogs and her garden was not really suitable for children to play in, as there was lots of dog mess in the garden. Also puddles in the house and on the kids seating cushions, but this could be because they had just got a new puppy.
The children did seem to really enjoy spending time with her, however my children have a dairy allergy which I explained in detail upon enrolling. Lisa assured me she would be able to accommodate this, unfortunately she was not able to and on 3 separate occasions (over a 6 week period) she fed my children things they were allergic to. When I raised this for the 3rd time and stressed this really could not happen she terminated our contract with immediate effect. This was difficult as I then had to take a week off work to source alternative arrangements.
In order to be fair and leave a fair review in the 6 weeks my children were they, they did enjoy seeing Lisa
