About Me
My name is Su, I live in Thornton with my husband we have been together for 28 years and have 4 children . 1 child lives at home 1 at university & 2 live in London . I have been childminding over 20 years I am Ofsted registered and a quality assured childminder .
I have a playroom for children I have a back garden with slide,seesaw, and other toys and seating area . A front drive where the older children like to play football & basket ball and on the scooters .
I attend a playgroup 3 days per week for pre school children which includes structured play and playing and mixing with other children this is included in fees and will be at no extra cost to you.
I do a variety of childcare places

The children I have in school holidays benefit from the local park, outings and sometimes going to play centres as well as home play .
For people who dont have their own transport I am only a few minutes walk from Thornton road and bus stops which take you directly to bradford city centre.
I do drop off and pick up for Thornton primary school children and do before school and meet at Thornton primary school after school for children from Beckfoot Thornton Grammer school .
My hours of work are 6.30am-6.30pm Mon- Friday
My Experience
I have over 36 years of child care experience 29 years worth of experience with my own children and over 21 years childminding experience. I was also a horse riding instructor for 5 years which included teaching riding for the disabled and children with behavioural differculties.

All year except 2 weeks off in Aug .Any other time off will give at least 2 weeks notice.
My work hours in school holidays are all day 6.30-6.30pm .
Term time before & after school .6.30-9.00 & 3.15-6.30
Weekends could also be discussed for occasional childcare & charges are £20 per hr per child minimum of 5 hours a day .

My Fees
- Childminding from £3.50 per hour
£3.50 per hr
£35 per week min for term time place .
£4.50 per hour out of contract or Holiday place only
£5.50 Emergency childcare.
£20.00 Per hour weekends (min of 5 hours)
£20 per hr for occasional working of bank holidays if previously agreed otherwise normal fees apply if not attending .

Susan is an excellent childcare provider who I can strongly recommend to parents considering childcare for their child/children. My children aged 4 years and 23 months old attended Susan's childcare setting for out of school/nursery term holiday childcare having found Susan's childcare provider advert on the childcare.co.uk website. Susan provided outstanding high quality care at short notice to my children in a family home environment that is tailored for children and their developing needs.
Susan's childcare setting has vast resources from educational books, toys, craft based activities, musical toys, and garden play equipment. It is evident my children thoroughly enjoyed attending Susan's setting. Indeed my little girl wanted to bring some of the toys back home with her! The childcare environment was very clean and tidy and Susan provided nutritious home made meals and healthy snacks to the children.
As a working parent with work hours being a District Nurse that have the potential to change on a monthly basis Susan's support was invaluable in facilitating my children's childcare needs, thus allowing me to fulfill my contracted work hours. I was regularly updated of my children's progress and activities they were performing each day. Both my children had an introduction session to allow them to familiarise themselves to the environment and both couldn't wait until their full sessions commenced!
Susan's childcare is great value for money.The setting is OFSTED registered and Susan is registered as a childminder with Pacey (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years). All documents including a current CRB check and additional childcare training that Susan has undertaken was available to view. I consider my children and I very fortunate to have found Susan who's care and childcare setting provides a caring and nurturing environment to fulfill and develop my children's needs. It is evident my children enjoyed attending her childcare setting, and I, as their parent, will always be grateful for her support. I have no doubt I will be using her childcare provision in the future.
