My Requirements

Accommodation:
Live in nanny from February / March 2023. House in BARNSBURY, N1. She will have nice bedroom on lower ground floor in newly renovated house, a kitchenette & bathroom — the family have a family kitchen on different floor. Lower ground floor includes a TV room and Children’s eating area but there will be lots of privacy.

Family:
English / French family with one 7 year old girl, and one 4 month old baby boy -- both parents have full time demanding jobs. We want someone energetic, reliable, kind, honest, flexible and someone who can become part of our family — our nanny has been with us for 5 years, for example..

Job specification:
5 days each week — Monday to Friday, 7am-7pm with 2 nights of babysitting included per week.

Main focus will be on childcare, with some light housekeeping required also. Daughter of 7 years old needs to be taken to school and collected each day — 3 stops on the overground. Play dates arranged, either at our house or her other friend’s. Homework each night that we would expect the nanny to do — reading, spelling, basic maths etc. some kind of back ground in education would be a real bonus for us — our current nanny has a degree in child’s education, for example. Our son is a baby so experience with babies is required. Need someone of course feed them — very healthy food. Our baby son will soon need to go to baby classes etc whilst our daughter is at school. We want someone with energy and creativity. Our daughter is very creative and loves to do arts and crafts, write stories, etc. we have a part time housekeeper who does the heavy lifting with regards housework but we would expect some light housework as well and preparing our dinners a few nights a week — just very straightforward things. We would require the person to help us with buying food (Ocado), collecting items from local delis.

Hours expected to work: 7am — 7pm with 2 nights babysitting.

Travel:
Very important is having someone who can and wants to travel. Approx once every 6 weeks we will go to our apartment in Paris, and will want nanny with us OCCASIONALLY. Involves taking Eurostar at 4:30pm Friday and back Sunday eve in London at 6pm. Also have house in the country and would be expected to come — we go sometimes for half term, for part of the holidays — then no housework required (as there is a cleaner there) just childcare. Ad hoc travel during holidays — Greece and Italy every summer.
Passport very important.

Salary:
To be discussed depending on level of experience!

Flexibility:
We are looking for someone who can be flexible within reason but we are very respectful of people’s need for time off etc. we are looking for the right fit for our family and someone who can potentially stay with us for a long time. We are not a formal family and we want someone to feel happy and at home.
