Children are responsive to my positive and relaxed attitude. They enjoy the increased freedom that outdoor play gives them and this in turn leads to physically sated children who are content to spend time on quieter activities such as cooking.
I provide loving and stimulating childcare in a comfortable home environment.
My Experience
I am an established child minder working from Reynoldston in the heart of Gower.
I haveraised four of my own children The youngest is now 17 years old. Their upbringing and 17 years of child minding have provided me with a wealth of experience and understanding in all aspects of child rearing.
I believe that children thrive and are happy when exposed to a range of social and physical settings under the care of a single loving individual.
As well as being based in a large spacious detached house on Cefn Bryn, we visit a number of local play groups and friends' houses. Importantly we explore the outside world everyday and walk my spaniel on the beaches, woods and moors of Gower.

My Qualifications
I have no formal qualifications in childcare. However I do have years of hands on experience looking after children of all ages.
My Availability
I work Monday to Friday.
My usual hours are 7:00 to 18:00. However I am prepared to be flexible if required.

Gilli has been looking after my son for over 2 years. When she first had him he was only 6 weeks old and it was a great comfort that he was so happy from the start and went on adventures every day. Now he still goes on adventures every day and he is happy, healthy and has had a far richer social experience than I could have offered him as a full-time working mother. He has made great friends which will help him as he moves into school and he will still being going to Gill before and after school for as long as she wants him!

Gilli is extremely flexible and helpful and whenever numbers permit she has been willing to take my son on an occasional basis. This has been an absolute godsend for me, and my son loves going. I feel as though he benefits from all the activities at Gilli's and it's been wonderful to find a childminder who doesn't just plonk the kids in front of the telly!

I consider myself very fortunate to have found Gilli to mind my two older children some 11 years ago; now all four of my daughters have been in her care.
I have used Gilli for before and after school care, and as all day care for my two younger children when I have returned to work, and have very positive experience of her care of babies, toddlers and school children.
The younger children are out and about every day, for walks, toddler groups, picnics and enjoying nature. Back at the house they do art and crafts, baking, playing indoors and out. They are never dumped in front of the telly.
Older children after school enjoy the same active care, playing together indoors and out, and and enjoying the little community they have there.
The children enjoy home-cooked meals and amazing home baking.
My children were all very happy, healthy and stimulated in Gilli's care, and my younger two are often are always asking when they can go back. She is so warm, welcoming and helpful to everyone, not just the children in her care.
I thoroughly, thoroughly recommend her.

My two children have been cared for by Gilli for over three years now and I can't recommend her enough. Not only are the children in Gilli's care offered a safe and loving environment in her home they also have an active, outdoor experience, as they are out every day whatever the weather on the beaches, walking in woods and playing in the garden. My children are extremely happy with Gilli, she has become a great friend to our family and helped us to meet lots of new friends when we were new to the area as she is a highly valued member of the local community. I can honestly say I could not survive without Gilli's help as she regularly goes above and beyond to help me and everyone around her!

Gilli is a wonderful childminder and I don't know what we would do without her! She has cared for our two children for three years and has provided them with countless fun and exciting experiences. Every day, Gilli creates opportunities for them to explore, play, learn, get messy, cook, create craft and have fun. She supports them to explore nature and form friendships. They are very happy at 'the lovely house' (my daughter's description) and my partner and I feel so lucky to know that while we are at work the children are are in a happy, relaxed home with nutritious home-cooked food and daily opportunities to explore the beaches and woods of Gower. I whole-heartedly recommend Gilli as a childminder and think she may be secretly super-human.
