My Summary
About Me
Hello I am Emma and I have been a Registered Child minder since May 2008 and previsouly worked with children and young adults for 20+ years in the form of one to one support with vulnerable children, playschemes and local crèches.
I am a Mother of three and with the support from my partner who has also completed his CYOP5 training (Formally Introduction to Child minding) and has a full DBS/CRB disclosure is on hand to help with running a home from home environment with a great emphasis on the outdoors experience and bringing a natural and creative approach to childcare.
I offer a flexible and reliable service with local pick ups and drop offs at Ysgol I D Hooson (Cylch, Meithin, a Debyn) Other local schools can be arranged subject to availability.
Languages used within the setting are Welsh, English and Makaton (Sign) I am not a fluent Welsh speaker but do converse through the medium of Welsh on a daily basis, my daughters and son are all fluent and Welsh is predominatly the language used within the setting alongside English and Makaton (Sign).
In the past I have been awarded the "Quality Comes Home Award" - Currently no award schemes in place due to graded settings being introduced by CIW and pleased to indicate I was given a silent grade of 2 X Excellent and 2 X Good. (This will be made public on my next inspection in 3 years time)
I also have students from the local collages who are undertaking their Childcare qualifications to help gain experience of working within a Childcare setting.
My Experience
Emma's Childminding has been running since May 2008 and offers a home from home environment with great emphasis on the outdoors, creativity, imagination and family values.
I encourage the children to gain independence and develop at their own pace through exploring the natural enviroment around them and using fun activities to suite their age and abilities.
I have also worked as a Play Worker, service user and life long volunteer of local playschemes which are run within the surrounding community, this has given me vaulable experiences which I have adopted within my setting.

What can I say , I never thought I would leave any of my children with anyone , but I found Emma Prydden in a local group and never looked back , she is amazing with children, learning and playing all day , she takes them out to groups and for days out to local attractions ,I am so happy to know my child is safe and happy while I'm in work and that makes it so much easier, it takes a lot to trust someone with your children and I would certainly recommend emma.
