I am a caring and nurturing mum of two lovely sons and have worked with children for most of my life.
My eldest is studying Physics at Durham, the youngest has just started studying Maths at Durham too.
They play oboe, piano and the trumpet and are members of two orchestras.
I relocated to Amble in August and have been busy updating my house.
I’m available from February 2024.
I was a nanny for 10 years before having my own children, working in London, the U.S. and Hong Kong.
In my early twenties I travelled throughout Asia/Australia/New Zealand for 2.5 years which was an amazing experience!
I've worked for lots of fun families including Doctor’s, an artist, footballer, and the Cadbury family.
I’ve looked after newborns to teenagers.
I worked as a Teaching Assistant for 6 years at my boys’ International School in the Middle East (Y2, Y4, Reception & Nursery).
Working in Education was very fulfilling, broadening my knowledge of how to encourage children to learn through being curious about the world that we live in.
I am very much a ‘learning through nature’ type of nanny.
Being outside on lovely long walks or at the beach is when I’m at my happiest.
Instilling a love of nature into young children is why I love my job so much.
My Experience
My last post was working 3 days p.w. as a sole charge nanny for an amazing little girl.
I worked for the family for almost five years.
Mum is an ICU Consultant at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.
During Covid, I worked throughout to provide consistent childcare, enabling Mum to focus on her work in the NHS.
I was also a part-time, temporary, sole charge nanny for a gorgeous 5 month old baby in Sheffield two days pw. (Since December 2022)
My Qualifications
Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (Ofsted approved) - June 2022 - Valid for 3 years
Ofsted- Caring for Children in their own home - June 2019
Food Handling certificate
Health and Safety
Enhanced DBS - 2022
4 GCSE's
RSA1 Typing Skills
Office Practice- Distinction
