About Me
I am a self employed Ofsted nanny and I am registered to look after children in their own home.
I am also an Ofsted registered childminder on the childcare register (not EYFS) for children aged 5 and above (year 1).
I provide the following childcare slots-
Mon-Sun
7am- 9am School drop
10am- 2pm Nanny EYFS slot
3pm- 7pm School pick up
7pm- 12am Babysitting (after 12 midnight to be discussed)
I consider my job to be the best job in the world as I really enjoy meeting and working with children, i have found every child to be unique and special in their own way.
I have been to university twice and achieved a good level of qualification in Psychology with the intention to work within mental health however I wasn’t able to give up working as a childcare provider as it’s something I really enjoy doing.
I have an interest in mental health especially in children and teenagers and in the past I have worked voluntarily for the Nhs (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service/ Healthy Young Minds) in an inpatient setting for young people. My role as a volunteer was to encourage social inclusion and introduce therapeutic activities for the young people to engage in. I have also been a volunteer family support worker for Homestart Bury until it closed. I am an Nhs Mental Health Nursing Assistant (Bank) also which enables me to gain experience yet still work as a childcare provider as my main occupation.
I have a big love for all animals, birds and insects ...I have one guinea pig left called Mindy after sadly loosing Billy but I would love to have more if I could accommodate them, I would love a farm one day :)
I have recently started to grow my own vegetables and fruit which is still work in progress but I really enjoy being in the garden.
My Experience
I have been working as a nanny for the last 8 years. I have also previously worked as a live in nanny when I was younger.
I have had a wealth of experience from being a mother myself, my eldest son has a diagnoses of adhd and also life experience and education. I have two boys a little one (Odin) who was born in Nov 2017 and my eldest son (Dion) is 23 and in his last year at Sheffield university studying a mathematics degree.
I have current experience of working with three sets of twin girls, two sets in early years ( 30 months and 14 months old) and two 6 year olds :) as well as other early years children, school aged children and adolescents.
I have experience of caring for children and young people with ADHD and children on the autistic spectrum as well as special educational needs and I have also been a private foster carer on two occasions.
I have also recently March 2023 been inspected by Ofsted and I passed my inspection.

Nikki was kind and professional in her approach to babysitting for our 5month old. We were nervous about leaving her for the first time but Nikki put us at ease with her calm approach and we were reassured by her professional approach to explaining her experience and provision of relevant documentation.

I found Nikki on childcare.co.uk while I was looking for someone to look after my 9 month old daughter for a couple of hours everyday while I worked from home. I was really impressed with Nikki the first time we met as she came across as calm, composer and caring. She did a wonderful job looking after my little one who was teething and was going through really bad seperation anxiety. Nikki was very gentle in her ways and my daughter too to her really well by day 3. Would definitely recommend Nikki to anyone who is looking for a warm and trust worthy care provider for their children. Will definitely be using her services again !

Nikki is fantastic. She helped us out when I was desperate due to being made redundant during my maternity leave and having to start working for myself.
She took on looking after my 5 month baby and continued to do so for a few months. She was very caring and loving, it’s not easy to leave your little baby with someone new but I was totally confident with her. We have since found someone who has given me more coverage in the week but I’m staying in touch with Nikki as she’s fab and would gladly be asking her to cover any days when our current provider is unavailable. Highly recommend!

Nikki has looked after my children since 2016 from the age of 1 onwards and they are now 7 and 5. I cannot rely upon anyone else to look after my children. No one has been able to match Nikki in terms of the high standard of care that she has provided for the children. Throughout the years, she has engaged the children with interesting activities that are all age related. She has a very calm, polite and hands on approach when dealing with the boys. She is firm yet fair. As Nikki is very knowledgeable about the EYFS, the boys have learnt so much through play when they were younger. She has a very good understanding of health and safety as well as maintaining exceptional hygiene levels at all times.
As the children have got older, she has continued to keep the boys stimulated by making homework fun and interacting with them at all times. She always ensures that they are fed well and her hygiene levels are of a high standard. She provides a detailed report of the care she provides for the children.
Her own personal skills are that she is very organised in her approach and communicates extremely well with me as a parent. She has covered short and longer days for me when I am at work, school pick up and drop offs, proving she is responsible and reliable.
I could not have asked for a better support for me during my time at work. Thank You Nikki for everything, the boys are blessed to have such an amazing person to look after them in a safe and welcoming environment!

I found Nikki on childcare.co.uk over two years ago, after looking for some time to find a highly qualified SEN nanny, who I could trust with my child so that I could:
A) run a business as a single mother
B) try and have a some kind of social life as a single mother!
To put it bluntly - I hit the jackpot with Nikki.
She is professional, respectful, thoughtful, caring, tidy, reliable and conscientious, and most of all, WONDERFUL with my son who had additional needs. He adores her ☺️.
I would absolutely recommend her to anyone considering hiring professional childcare, and have happily spoken to other mums and dads as a referee.
