About Me
I am a 34 year old Mum of 4 (12 year old twins daughters, a 9 year old son, and a 4 year old son) . I live in Fordham. Now my eldest three are in full time school I am looking for a part time, term time position where I would be able to bring my youngest son along with me. He does now attend the local preschool so I am available for short sessions a few mornings a week.
My Experience
I have over 18 years of childcare experience, beginning my career in a private day nursery where I completed Level 3 training.I worked as a Nanny for a short period before having my daughters, and then continued my professional development to become the Deputy Manager of a small private day nursery.
I then moved into a role as a Teaching Assistant at a school in Cambridge where I supported the teaching and learning of children in the Nursery, Reception and Year 1 classes. It was during this time I also completed my BA Early Years with The Open University.
I took the very difficult decision to leave this role in order to spend more time with my children, which has been a wonderful adventure over the past 7 years. I was lucky enough to find a wonderful family locally where I looked after their daughter from the age of 9 months until she started school last September.
Following that I was welcomed into another local family to care for their 9 month old daughter alongside my son. I had 2 wonderful years with them, which was sadly halted due to Covid-19.
