About Me
My name is Jenny and I became an Ofsted Registered Childminder in 2000, i was rated Good in all areas, im my last inspection in April 2023. I live very close to Abington Park with my husband and two older children (25) and (20) all have current dbs checks. We have 2 Springer spaniels who are very lovely family pets who have been bought up whilst childminding, they therefore are always wanting cuddles and strokes.
I want all children in my care to thrive, develop and reach their true potential through play and the first hand experiences they receive in my home and in the local community that we use and visit. I provide a stimulating child friendly safe environment where I consider that everything that happens indoors can be adapted for outdoors too. I have recently invested in an all weather outdoor play area within my garden which the children trully love, Coats on and off we go!
My Experience
I have experience of caring for children with specific dietary requirements, English as a second language, allergies, learning difficulties and have extensive experience in new-born care.
In addition, I feel that by working closely with you the parent/s who are central to your child's development and know them best, we will be able to work together to give your child the best start in life - and we will achieve this through an open two way working relationship.
I have a large range of age appropriate toys, books and activities as well as an extensive all weather outdoor play area.
I enjoy encouraging the children to participate in a variety of crafts and cooking activities.
My Qualifications
Level 5 - Foundation degree in Early childhood and education.
NVQ Level 3 in Childcare
NCMA Quality Assurance Scheme - Quality First - Level 3
Most recent Ofsted Inspection - graded Good in all areas.
