About Me
I am an experienced childminder registered with Ofsted since 2000 and graded as good on all my inspections. I live in the St Stephen's area with my husband and have grown up children both live away. We have a small friendly dog called Wilbur. The village is a great location for children, 2 play parks close by and woodland walks. I live in a large house with a safe enclosed rear garden suitable for ride-ons and physical play. I have a wide variety of fun and educational toys to suit all stages of development. I plan sensory activities to engage children's interest and there is plenty of opportunity to do creative activities such as messy play, cooking and gardening.
I attend local Toddler Groups so the children in my care are well socialised and a member of Restormel Childminders. We visit many places of interest and I have annual passes to local attractions such as the Eden Project, Newquay Zoo, Dairyland and Heligan Gardens.
My Experience
I have over 23 years experience as a Childminder and use the Early Years Foundation Stage framework as a guidance to help children achieve their full potential. I can offer nursery funding for 2, 3 and 4 year olds and 30 hours free childcare for working families. I attend regular training courses to keep me up-to-date. I keep Daily Diaries for babies and Tapestry Online Learning Journals that I share with parents to show their children's progress and achievements.
