About Me
My Nanny career started when I was still a child myself, I babysat for lots of families in the village where I grew up. I was the youngest in my family and yearned for younger siblings, instead I played and looked after younger friends of the family.
I'd never wanted to do anything other than be a Nanny (or ride horses), my parents didn't agree so I was sent on a Business Admin course at Henley College, this led to some jobs in Reception at a couple of hotels, I got promoted to Front of House Manager, but knew I couldn't do this for the rest of my life. So, I moved back home and completed a childcare course, then I took off to various parts of the world and UK as a live in nanny. I loved it!!! Children 24/7, no bills to pay and my free time was my own!!! On returning from a stint as a Nanny in the USA, I took on a temp job at a Nursery which lasted 8 years!!
Then I fell in love, had a baby of my own, took on a Mortgage and got married!!! So these days I'm available as a part time, nanny!!! I understand that every family is different and has their own way of doing things, I make it a priority to respect this.
My Experience
Have been caring for children for nearly 30 years mostly as a Nanny but also some years were spent working in Nurserys. I spent a few years concentrating on Emergency Nanny roles as I thrived on the diversity. I spent a couple of years in the USA, having moved there with a British family and returning with them 2 yrs later, so my packing skills are very good!!!
