We couldn’t have picked a better childminder

Our little one started at little bears after having a difficult experience with another childminder. I was immediately at ease with Clare and she settled right in. Little bears is truly a home away from home for little ones. They treat them like their own and my little one came home every day happy and telling me stories of their adventures. They are always playing outside in nature and Clare’s knowledge of child development really shines through. Our little one has learnt so much in her time there. We have only left due to our daughter starting big school, I could honestly say if I could keep her at little bears forever I would!
I couldn’t recommend little bears enough, they have been the most incredible childminders and made us feel so at ease leaving our child in their care.

Caring and creative

My friend found this treasure of a childminder and thought it would be perfect for us...and she was right! Our little one started at 22months having tried another setting at 15months where he did not settle at all and we had to take him out. But Little Bears was just right for him and the team took time to support him to settle. Their focus is completely on nurturing the whole child, in open-ended ways, varied activities and valuing the child's needs and choices. He is now 3 and 1/2 and we made the decision to keep him there rather than nursery alongside his peers as it was supporting his development and wellbeing so well. It is a great setting with an assistant that makes it a nice in-between - still a home setting but with larger numbers of peers to interact with. On a practical side they follow procedures and meet basic needs as well as going above and beyond! We had some personally tough times this year and to know we were supported and our little one was happy and cared for in this special place completely helped our family get through this. It is more than a childminders, it is a little community. :) We could continue! But summary is absolutely 100% recommend!!

We love little bears

My little boy has loved going to Clare and the being part of the group for the last 16months- only leaving for full time nursery- we’re all very sad at this!!
Having a lockdown baby meant everything socially and separation from family has been tricky to say the least but the trust and happiness my little one felt at Clare’s has helped him develop so much. Our little one has delayed speech and they have worked with us to help him learn and nothing has been too much trouble. I absolutely love the ethos and set up Clare has created for the little ones - the playroom is a dream for little ones and is awash with natural tactile resources- something that I was really keen to see being used in his next journey into school nursery. As soon as we went to visit we knew it was the absolute perfect choice for both ourselves and our little one. The assistants are just as amazing and our little one always comes out happy to chat about his day and who he’s been playing with. Clare is amazing she understands our child and our needs perfectly, and receiving photos of his daily antics is perfect to feel part of his day. We can’t recommend Clare and her team enough, they are so thoughtful and friendly we really have loved being part of their world as much as they’re part of ours.

The perfect fit!

I found Little Bears by chance, and never looked back. As soon as I met Clare I knew this would be the right setting for my child. Since starting at LB’s there have been two new assistants who clearly share the same passion as Clare and each day, my little one runs in smiling ready for her day with them. Activities are themed each week, with updates by photo and daily (verbal) reports on their day (food/naps/activities/nappies etc). A home from home setting was important for me, and this is exactly what is delivered. I cannot fault the care provided at LB’s.

Amazing setting

Our son started with Clare in September after an unsuccessful settling in at an alternative childcare setting. Clare is warm and friendly, and provides a home from home setting that has a real family feel. After never spending any time away from us, our little boy settled in quickly and reaches out for Clare and both assistants when he gets dropped off, and is always smiling on collection.
The childcare Clare provides goes over and above what you would expect from a run of the mill childcare setting. Clare offers so much more than just a tick sheet at the end of the day or a sheet of paper to stick on the fridge, she offers her full undivided devotion to every child in her care. Our little boy is very sensitive and for him to have formed such a strong bond is proof that clare and her assistants have spent time to nurture their relationship.
From a developmental perspective, in 2 short months we can clearly see an improvement in speech, movement and independent play. We are so happy we found Clare and she has made an what we were expecting to be an awful process incredibly easy.
We are provided with full updates at the end of every day, along with pictures of what our son has been up to regularly throughout his week. Me and my partner much prefer the fact that they are enjoying the activities and getting stuck in than having a phone whipped out every hour to satisfy our needs.
In summary, it is clear from our sons sheer love for Little Bears that he is treated as a member of the family. Furthermore, he is getting the benefit of being in an environment that is tailored to his developmental progress, giving him the opportunity to flourish and grow and that is exactly what we were looking for from a childcare provider.

Fantastic Amazing Childminder !

Our twins have been with Clare for a few years now, they have developed so fast under her guidance! Nothing is too much and can not praise her enough for the care and attention she provides to our little ones! There really is no one else better! We are regularly updated on all the fun activities she plans with the little ones! I couldn’t imagine a better person for our own little bears! She is fab! We recommend her to anyone !!

Amazing childminder, beautiful setting!

Clare is an absolutely superb childminder. She has created a beautiful learning environment both inside and outside and provides fantastic resources and activities to really engage little ones. The level of understanding Clare has about early years education is apparent in the immense amount of thought she puts into everything. It's such a caring, nurturing place where little ones thrive. I don't think I could trust anyone else the way I trust Little Bears. My son absolutely adores Clare, he practically throws himself into her arms when we arrive!

Excellent

My son has been attending since he was 9 months old and he loves it. Lots of fun things for him to enjoy. Clare is great with him and the very big smile he gives her makes me know he is comfortable. He runs straight to her playroom very confidently when he gets there. Very satisfied with the level of care he receives.

Absolutely amazing

We Couldn't have asked for anything more in such a service. Clare has been amazing with our toddler, she has come on so much, using more words, improved motor skills and generally being a little lady. We cannot recommend little bears enough 🖤

Amazing Childminder!

Clare is the best childminder we have ever used. Our twins love her! You can tell she has so much passion for her job through the beautiful learning environment she has created inside and outside. She understands the stresses of being working parents and has gone above and beyond to support us as parents as well. We would highly recommend her to anyone. She uses her early years background and knowledge to plan the most creative activities that have allowed the twins to naturally explore and learn so much. We definitely won’t be changing childminders.

5 star service

My daughter absolutely loves going to little bears before and after school and during the holidays when im working. She always comes home with lots of stories of all the fun things theyve done. She enjoys all the learning activities and playing in the garden. I love that i can leave her and not have to worry at all about her safety or her not feeling comfortable which is brilliant and she struggles socially.
