About Me
My name is Karen I have been a childminder for 13 years my two boys live at home with me they are 18 and 14. We have a small adorable dog who is never left with the children. I work with another childminder and we share care of a 30 month old boy who has been with us since he was 8 months old. I was recently inspected by Ofsted and was graded Outstanding in all areas.
I drive a 7 seater car and pick up from schools and nurseries in Howdon.
We go on lots of outings to parks, libraries and toddler groups as well as having activities and lots of toys for children to play with. During school holidays we go to soft plays, parks museums and the beach.
My Experience
I update my first aid training every 3 years and my Child Protection training is also up to date. I have looked after children from 3 months old until they leave primary school.

My Availability
I work Monday to Friday from 7.30am until 5.30pm. Other times can be discussed.

Karen has looked after my son for over 2 years and we would be lost without her. She has nurtured his strengths with additional curriculum led activities after school, his holidays are always fun-filled and he is always well fed with home cooked meals. She provides regular updates and photos and keeps a journal documenting his progress throughout the year. Karen was recommended by another childcare provider who didn't have space and I'm so grateful and lucky she was available. She accepts funded and non funded places. My son attends St Aidans Wallsend but she also collects from Stephenson. Most of the children in her care do not leave until they finish primary school and I can understand why! Highly recommended!
