About Me
I am a 36 year old mum to 2 young children. I am an enthusiastic person by nature and always put my everything thing into the things I do. I absolutely love teaching and love using stories, songs and plenty of resources to make learning fun. As a family with young children, my free time is often spent exploring the countryside, splashing in puddles or searching for bugs.
My Experience
I qualified with a first class degree in Primary Education (with QTS) in 2009 and have worked in 2 amazing schools since then as a classroom teacher. In 2014, I launched into tutoring and set up my own tutoring company in Bedfordshire called The Tutor Train which grew into a team of 30 teachers providing face-to-face and online tuition at home and in school.
Our key drive is to provide tuition that suits the individual learner. In a one-to-one situation, a child is better able to flourish as they are able to work at their own speed and question elements they are unsure of. We use a wide variety of teaching resources to help demonstrate ideas and make learning fun and interactive.
My team are absolutely fantastic and all have different strengths and qualities. Matching you with the right tutor is key and based on your needs I would be able to do this. We cater all the way up to A-level so no need to worry looking for a new tutor when your child moves to secondary - I can help make that transition seamless.
My approach is make learning fun and enjoyable whilst meeting objectives your child needs to ensure they are progressing well. Feedback in always provided after each lesson to ensure you are fully involved and can continue the learning after the lesson if desired.
My Qualifications
I hold a First Class degree in Primary Education. All my team are Qualified teachers with a wealth of experience. Every member has undergone strict safer recruitment checks (DBS, prohibition check, ID and certificate check, interview, references x 2).
