About Me

Hello, my name is Ramona, I'm a 26 year old and I am a Romanian trainee primary and preschool teacher with several years experience in Romania. In my last 6 years, I have been working while a nursery: first 4 and a half, as a nursery teaching assistant/english teacher, to a public kindergarten, and in the last 1 and a half year, as a kindergarten teacher as well as an after-school teacher, at a private kindergarten.
I am a Bachelor in Communication Sciences, as a Journalistic graduated, and now I am 2nd year studying The Pedagogy of Primary and Preschool Teaching, at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, part of “Ovidius” University of Constanta, Romania. As a student to this faculty gave me the chance to gain some theoretical experience while some certificates as well, some just for attending to some great International conferences while some for active participation, certificating me into the teaching arts.
I just arrived in London and I’ m looking for working as a nanny or a babysitter as this is the area where I have most experience, because even if it isn’t here, in UK, where I gained my experience from, I do think that wherever place you worked before in childcare is as valid everywhere, because the children have the same needs everywhere, they all need love and understanding most of all from all us adults, not only teachers or nannies.
I hold a Paediatric first aid certificate completed and Ofsted recognised and because I just arrived here I don’t have a DBS check but if required I can do it as well as an Ofsted certification! I am a non drinker and non smoker. I can also provide several excellent references back from the kindergarten where I used to work and happy to meet your family beforehand if required.
Even though I am new here I also hold the National Insurance Number.
I am highly organised, enthusiastic and very creative, willing to play as learning with children, because art is always fun. I have experience working with children of all ages. I have been working with children with special needs and also as Kindergarten Teacher I am used to look after a big number of children, and in my experience I met twins as well. I'm extremely patient and deal with any stressful situation in a calm manner. I enjoy doing crafts with kids, reading, singing, playing board games,card games, creative role play ect. I speak conversational Spanish and I can teach this to a basic level. I am happy to work around pets as myself being a pet friendly person, I do have a cat, cook children's fresh and tasty meals and carry out light housekeeping tasks (keeping children's bedrooms tidy, children's laundry etc.)
