About Me
Hi, my name is Shaheen.
I am an Ofsted registered childminder with BA (hon's) and teaching experience in Early Years and have been rated as 'good' by Ofsted in all areas of EYFS.
I have been awarded the certificate of excellence from childcare.co.uk.
I live in Knowle and have 20 years of experiences in Early Years, my aim is to provide high quality care and a welcoming and educational environment for children of all ages. I work within the EYFS framework and deliver activities according to your child needs, abilities and interest. Children have the opportunity to play indoors, outdoors, go to local parks, trips, shops, playgroups, children centers and the library. All dietary requirements are also taken into consideration such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, halal etc.
I can do pick and drop from local schools. I am also able to do Nursery and wrap around Childcare for under 5's within the Knowle and Dorridge area. As for older children I can help to support with homework and reading.
School holidays and Summer vacancies available.
Childcare vouchers are accepted.
Parent references are available on request.
My Experience
I have degree in Childhood Studies with Teaching BA Hons.
I have worked in many settings which include; Primary Schools, Nurseries, Children's Centres, Creches, Support Work, Nanny and Childminding.
I am able to plan and prepare age appropriate activities, carry out observations and plan next steps according to the child's development and individual needs. I also complete detailed learning journals to track children's progress and provide regular feedback to parents.
My Qualifications
- Childhood Studies with Teaching BA Hons.
- Foundation Degree in Early Years.
- DCE CACHE Diploma in Child Care Level 3.
- Multilingual (English, Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi)
- DBS checked.
- First Aid pediatrics's Training level 3
- Level 3 Certificate in Food Safety and Catering.
- Health and Safety Level 3
- Child Protection in Education.
- Safeguarding Disabled Children and Young People.

My son absolutely loved being cared for by Shaheen.
He's confidence grew daily, he's vocabulary and social skills improved more an more over time.
He was always excited to see you and always enjoyed he's daily trips to the park or forest outings, Play groups.
Shaheen following the EYFS frame work doing observations ,learning journals for each individual child.
He was treated like one of the family and always enjoyed home cooked meals.
Shaheen would always guide my son's progression by identifying areas that he needed to improve on by giving tasks to take home to work on.
He's strengths were also regularly discussed and he was always praised by shaheen, building he's self esteem and confidence.

Shaheen is a very experienced childminder with BA (Hons) in early years. She implements the EYFS curriculum to help children develop in all areas of learning. She completes observations, progression development and learning journals to access at all times. Children can learn to count, learn the alphabet, nursery rhymes and stories. She works with parents to achieve their ultimate goal for their children. Children attend many activities like going to the library, playgroup, parks, nature walks. And several activities indoor and outdoor
She has outstanding discipline to help children with their manners. They also have home cooked food for lunch and a healthy snack during the day
Shaheen has been a wonderful aspiration and addition to our family network. She does remarkably well with our two children 2 and 3 for the past two years. They are always so happy to go and always in a happy mood when they leave. Our reason for leaving is to emigrate and she will be dearly missed. She is such a caring, hospitable and welcoming childminder we have been very fortunate and honoured to trust our children with her and for her to be involved in their upbringing. I have a good relationship with Shaheen and she is always happy to help even at short notice if required and is always adaptable to my flexibility. I always feel happy and confident to discuss my childrens care with her wealth of experience which is clearly evident.I always feel confident in leaving the children in her care to allow me to go to work. Highly recommended !!!

If you want a setting where the person will care for your child as though they are their own, look no further. Shaheen is very professional and experienced childminder. My just turned 4 year boy old went to her for 10 months after we weren't happy to his previous nursery. She helped to turn him in a well mannered and confident child. He is now very chatty and caring towards others, she does a lot of activities with the children in her home and takes them out on regular walks.
She has a background in teaching and schools so understands what is required for each child and the local school settings. She will work with you as a parent on goals for your child or things you are trying to achieve at home (potty training, putting on shoes independently, identifying colours or letters).
I would recommend her to friends and in future use again/ babysitting. She has been invaluable to my family and development of my little one.

Our daughter has been cared for by Shaheen for the last three years. Once she had settled in she has always been happy to go and enjoyed all the activities on offer. As parents we have felt confident that she is in good hands, and pleased that the setting feels so homely and what a young child needs, especially coming out of the pandemic. She has done many educational activities, her fine motor skills such as colouring for example are very well developed. When we have needed extra days or older siblings to be looked after Shaheen has been great at accommodating this.
My daughter is starting school and we therefore no longer require a childminder but are very sad to be finishing and highly recommend Shaheen to others.

Shaheen looked after my kids since April 2021 to yesterday!
My kids had great time in her home.
Always when they return from her home they were so happy, exicited and had good new stories to share with me.
Shaheen has been very flexible. Once one of my kids was unwell and she went to my home to picked other one up and dropped him off.
Shaheen’s house is very clean. She always offer heathy foods to kids. She had patience and always she had a beautiful smile on her face!
I really recommend Shaheen!
