My Experience

I have 2 children of my own and spent the first few years of their young lives working as a full time PA so I know first hand how challenging it can be to juggle childcare and a career.

I moved from Lancashire to Dorset 12 years ago and took this opportunity to pursue my lifelong dream to work with children and provide a flexible solution for working parents.

Working as a childminder from my own home in Highcliffe, I work with a co-childminder and together we provide high quality childcare for children aged 0-6.

Our ethos is to provide a home from home environment with lots of fun, laughter and kindness. We enable children to learn through play whilst encouraging them to be independent and confident.

We teach them the fundamental life skills of being polite, using good manners, sharing and caring for others.

My Qualifications

Myself and my co-childminder have completed the Childminding course run by PACEY / Dorset County Council.

We are fully registered with Ofsted and were awarded a Good' grading at our most recent inspection in 2016.

We have each undertaken paediatric first aid, level 3 safeguarding and are members of the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years (PACEY).

We both hold an NVQ level 3 diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce.

We regularly attend additional training courses offered by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole County Council and study online via PACEY, childcare.co.uk and kinderly (for a minimum of 10 hours per year which counts towards our continuous professional development)

We are a friendly, keen and enthusiastic team and above all aim to provide a safe and happy environment in which your child can thrive. I have a dedicated light and sunny playroom and a secure garden, both of which have recently been refurbished with plenty of toys and activities to keep your child entertained throughout the day. We have regular outings to local playgroups and parks and we maximise your child's interests using monthly learning themes which might include visiting the library, supermarket, local farms, the quay, oceanarium etc. I also live just 10 minutes walk from the beach and we have our own allotment complete with chickens!

~ Before and after school care for pupils at Highcliffe St Marks Primary School in reception and year 1.
~ School holidays for children up to age 6.

My Fees

• Childminding from £5.00 per hour

Standard hours (weekdays) - £5.00 per hour
Additional unsocial hours by arrangement only - £10.00per hour
