My Summary
Baby Nanny
About Me
I am looking for a part time nanny position.I have had vast experience working with children as a qualified NNEB nanny in many settings. I have just finished caring for a baby 11 months and a 6 year old. Before that, a baby of 11 months for a year .I had been with the family before this for 16 months with a baby of 6 months. Before this I was a temp for a 6 month boy.
For 3 years I worked with a family who had 2 children. The baby was 7 months and I had her sister at 6 months. I only left as they were moving away.My position before this was a family with children aged 9months and 2 years until they moved out of London. Also I worked in a nannyshare with two 1year olds for 18 months.
I’ve mostly worked in the London area, with positions including residential nannying, live-out nannying, and maternity nursing. Four years as Head Nursery Nurse in the baby unit of St. George’s Hospital Nursery) and so I have lots of experience with babies, from newborn age and young children to teenagers. After taking time out to raise my own children, I retrained and attained additional qualifications such as Early Years Foundation Stage Enriching Play 0-2yr olds, new Paediatric First Aid and Food Hygiene and I am OFSTED registered and DBS checked.
I am a warm, loving and caring person, who is responsible, flexible, organised and punctual, who has the creativity, initiative and experience to encourage and support learning and growth; whilst understanding the demands of parenthood, I love nurturing a child’s development and it is so rewarding to be a part of a child’s progress at such an important stage.
I have practical experience in weaning, managing allergies, potty training, disciplining in a fair and constructive manner, and encouraging good manners and healthy eating, as well as inspiring children to love reading, playing, being out and about and discovering new things; I think learning through fun activities, such as stories, songs and playtime is key to the healthy development of a child.
I think arranging play dates, and taking children to clubs and groups is very important, as forming friendships early on is key to a happy child.
For older children, I am also experienced in homework help, reading and writing aid and have an understanding of the early years curriculum.
I have up to date verbal and written references and certificates which I would be more than happy to provide copies of if offered an interview.
I would love to be involved in these exciting years of your child’s development and I very much look forward to hearing from you!
My Experience
During my career, I have worked with children from 0 to 15. I have spent many years as a nanny both here and abroad. For four years, I worked in a baby unit caring for six babies between 3 months and 2 years . I was a deputy-officer-in-charge for 2 years, acting officer- in - charge for 6 months. I have worked in a mobile creche, as a childrens entertainer in holiday camps and hotels, also in a social services day nursery.

Pam has worked for us in the capacity of Nanny since November 2012. Her primary duty has been to care for our son from the age of 13 months to 2.5 years on a 3 day per week basis. During this time Pam has been a fantastic Nanny. She has provided a safe, structured and caring environment for our son and he has flourished. Pam has built a trusted and very loving relationship with him, and it has been a joy to see him so happy.
I found returning to work following maternity leave difficult, but Pam made the transition so much easier for me as she is such a wonderful child carer. Our son was always very happy to see Pam and has thoroughly enjoyed his time with her. I never once left the house to the sound of our son crying. He was always immediately engaged happily in his day with Pam.
Pam has a natural affinity for children, and she clearly loves working with them. She is very warm and provides plenty of cuddles and reassurance. She has actively encouraged my son to develop his independence (feeding and dressing himself, and learning to potty train). My son listens to Pam and respects her instructions. She has been excellent at teaching him to be polite (saying please and thank you) and how to conduct himself (guiding him in terms of appropriate behaviour).
Pam quickly developed a routine for her days with our son, building in age appropriate activities that have been adapted as he has grown. He really enjoyed weekly trips to play groups, parks and to the local library. Pam has also always provided advice on toys or equipment purchases that have helped our son develop (such as a painting easel). My son has often told me that he has loved his day with Pam.
Pam is completely trustworthy. She has always managed weekly expenses very well. On the very rare occasion she has had to make a personal call during work hours she has always checked with me first (not that she needed to!). During her work hours Pam has always been devoted to the care of our son.
We are all going to really miss Pam and are very sorry to see her leave us. I could not have asked for a better and more child centric Nanny than Pam.
