My Summary
About Me
I am fun, enthusiastic, always love putting a smile to a child’s face making them laugh to listening to them tell me about their imaginative ideas stories.
I have always been complimented on being calm, patient and very affectionate around children.
I feel being a nanny allows me to express my creativity and imagination through play.
As a mum of boys now teenagers I have my own personal experience in what parents expectations are when leaving their child in the care of someone and understand how it can be placing your child in someone else's care which is why I would ensure the parents needs are always met as well as the child's by keeping the parents up to date on how we have spent the day and any developments.
I am a very outdoorsy person out in all weathers, energetic always running around after little ones getting them to be active as much as possible whether it be kicking a ball to going on an explore through a woodland forest using imaginative role play ideas.
I use a lot of initiative to seek and find the best playgroups having been to a majority in all covered areas I know what ones are the best and most engaging.
I go to a very good one set up as a forest school, as I am a firm believer in children learning in a fun outdoor environment.
We go on outings to
The Wetlands Centre, Kew Gardens, Science Museum & The Natural History Museum.
I have also taken children on outings to farms, theme parks, always making fun memories.
I have a group of Nanny friends where we arrange meet ups at the playground or an indoor/ outdoor event.
As much as I’m a believer in a bit of outdoor time I also believe every child deserves access to books whether it be their own or in a library.
I love the thought that goes into them and always try to bring a story to life for the children.
I love the way children’s imaginations and creativity flourish with books teaching them to sit and learn about patience.
Part of the day involves being in the home, children love a bit of arts and crafts, play doh, putting on a bit of music dancing around the room to role play serving me an amazing pretend icecream to placing their cuddly toys in a circle getting out musical instruments whilst singing nursery rhymes we pick up from our library visits.
There is never a dull day or where it is the same, always like to explore the world of imaginative play and create fun times full of laughter and smiles.
Over the 12 years of being a nanny I have fond memories that have stayed with me as every child is so different from one another and all hold a special place in my heart. As I am around for a long period of their day I like them to feel loved and cared for.
The most sweetest thing is when a child greets me with a huge cuddle in the morning to when I leave asking me to not go home as they'll miss me.
I feel your are more than a nanny, you become part of the family.
As a nanny you not only keep them entertained safe and happy but you there for the most crucial part of a child's developmental journey, shaping them into the who they become to teach them to be kind to others, to share with other children, how to handle emotions, to be proud and complimented on achievements and to always use manners.
I keep in touch with the parents daily letting them know how their child/children are along with photos, I’ve been told my photos are very much on a professional quality level and something I take great pride in as these moments go by so fast!
My Experience
I have 12 years experience as a nanny, my positions have been long term lasting anywhere between 4-5 years as well as making room to help additional families at the weekends.
January 2019 to 2023 - Hammersmith
Full time care looking after a 13 month old with the addition of his newborn sister a year into being with the family.
I helped adjust with the changes to his little sister being born in the challenging times of lockdowns.
Helping to keep the boy then at 2 and a half entertained whilst caring for the baby sister, making sure the two reached all the developmental milestones weaning, potty training.
June 2015 - 2019 in Richmond Upon Thames.
Caring for a girl of 18 months and her 3 year old brother.
January 2014-2015 in Richmond Upon Thames.
Caring for newborn twins and a sibling fours of age.
Over the years catered for many events including helping to keep children entertained at a wedding.
I have helped on holiday look after four children sole charge all under 5 as 16 months, 2, 3 and a 4 year old.
I have helped out as whilst parent's had a cultural adult themed party requiring 8 children ages range between 8 month old to 3 years sole charge.
The parents were very impressed with how I managed to keep all the children quiet and focused without wanting any of the parents attention or any tears.
Prior to nannying I worked as a children's representative part of a sailing holiday company,
I was able to combine my passion in sports and looking after children.
I have worked in a nursery observing the needs and different levels of children following the EYFS, creating my own ideas and have identified how to improve the development of the child whilst giving feedback to the parents.
I have cared for children with SEN, Autism, ADHD.
I have found it is very rewarding being a big part in helping developmentally, one of my proudest moments being helping a four year old to overcome selective mutism and in turn then ready developmentally to start school and be confident within his vocabulary and peers.

Lucy was absolutely wonderful. She arrived on time and was fantastic with my daughter who hasn’t had many sitters before. Would thoroughly recommend her.
There is no other way to describe Lucy's childcare but as absolutely amazing. Lucy is extremely passionate about her job and you can really tell that she is happy among children with so much love and dedication. She was always doing all sorts of activities from parks to zoos to playgroups, both my kids have developed enormously with Lucy. She has such a lovely, warm nature and fun personality you can easily see why my boys loved her tremendously alongside her sweet gentle caring nature. My boys speech have come on in leaps and bounds I believe this is a credit to her. Lucy also has a very artistic ability to get the boys making creative works of art which is a pleasure to come home to.
l felt completely reassured when I dropped my boys off, she keeps in contact with me as and when I need it throughout the day. I interviewed many nannies in my search for the best and she by far stood out, my boys would always smile with joy and hug her at the beginning of the day not wanting her to go home by the end of the day. I feel grateful that I've met her:)
Thank you Lucy
Lucy is fantastic! Can’t recommend her enough. She is very professional and reliable, I felt incredibly reassured when I came back to see my 7 month old baby so happy and content after her day with Lucy.
Lucy was a fantastic choice for us, we couldn't have asked better care for our children. My children were running up to her giving her hugs, even telling me they didn't want her to leave at the end of the day!
She has a lovely gentle way, showing love and affection around children.
She used so much initiative recommending places in the area, she took my two on lots of outings & classes. My boys came home beaming telling me all the fun they had at the park with Lucy.
She's also great at keeping my boys calm and engaged. She played a big part in helping my boys to learn how to read and gave confidence in helping to progress.
I can thoroughly recommend her for the next family, I wish we could have had Lucy for longer but our schedules and hours we needed changed.
Lucy is very creative looking after my baby in an out of home setting and is always flexible.
