My Summary
About Me
I am a registered childminder in new Malden, I have an assistant with a small group of children. providing a home from home environment, going out daily to groups, parks and outings
I have been qualified as a childminder for 9 years and in that time I have been able to gain experience and develop the necessary skills that I feel are essential to provide the best possible childminding service that I can. I have worked in busy, established nurseries with children of ages ranging from 3 months to 5 years.
I have previously worked as a nanny for a few families with the ages of their children ranging from 4 months to 2 years.
Before becoming a parent and starting my career in childcare I worked in adult social care for over 5 years, in which time I gained lots of experience that has been transferable to the Childcare setting.
As a childminder I will have small ratios so I can really focus on each child’s need, learning and development.
I have a great childminding assistant who has worked within childcare for around 12 years.
I will be providing a large spacious loving environment with a great garden full of resources, with a wide variety of age related stimulating toys for all children to enjoy.
I follow the EYFS and use an online app for parents to access observations, photos, videos and reports I also give a daily sheet each day with all relevant information for parents.
I will be cooking all meals and introducing lots of different nutritional ingredients.
I have an outside space for children to enjoy daily with a slide and outdoor activities to explore
I go out daily, attending different groups, parks, new environments and soft plays
I am a 5 min walk from New Malden train station; 1 min walk to 131 bus and a few mins from the A3.
I have free parking on the road beside my home and walking distance to the high street and local schools.
I am very active, caring, nurturing and honest. I love working with children and being a part in all aspects of their development. I love messy play, being creative and making learning fun! I love being outdoors and making the most of the community and its groups and parks!
I have vast knowledge of the EYFS and am continuing to further my own learning by completing training courses to develop my knowledge and skill sets for the benefit of the children in my care.
I really want to provide a ‘home from home’ environment for the children I care for. Eating meals together at the table and bringing little things they have at home into my home.
I feel it is vital to have a close relationship with parents to help with transitions for your children whether that be with adapting to your children’s routines or developing meal plans together.
I am taking on new applicants so please feel free to contact me!

Cece was looked after by Laura for almost a year from 11 months old. We can't say enough how impressed and happy we were with her care. Extremely good communicator, very calm and just brilliant with the kids. We have complete trust in her looking after Cece and this trust was completely repaid in Cece's time there as she thrived.
Cece would still be there were it not for that we had to move away but to highlight how much we rated Laura's connection with Cece we genuinely considered staying in the area, at a hefty extra cost to ourselves, just so Cece could remain her happy self in Laura's care.
As first time parents we couldn't have asked for a better experience into the anxiety creating ordeal of choosing someone to look after our little one. Just brilliant for children and parents alike.
Our daughter has been with Laura since she turned 1. She's now 2 and a half and is with Laura 5 days a week, and I genuinely couldn't be any happier with the childcare Laura provides. We have never had any tears at drop-off, it was a seamless transition from our home to hers. She is caring, kind, honest, and really imaginative. She does messy play, spends lots of time outdoors and cooks really varied and nutritional meals. When I potty trained my daughter Laura was on hand with lots of advice and she made me feel really supported with it. She fills in a daily diary for the children and also sends lots of photos and videos throughout the day so you always feel as if you know exactly what they've been up to all day. I was hesitant to send my little girl to nursery full time at such a young age and felt as though a childminder was a better fit for us, and i've never looked back. Laura has also become a good friend and someone we can turn to whenever we need advice for our child. She really is a star!
Laura really does offer a home from home environment and my 2-year old daughter has a great time. Originally we were thinking about nursery for our daughter but I’m so glad we found Laura. Lots of fun activities for the children whether going out to feed the ducks or doing dress up or messy play. Nice varied meals too. My daughter always seems to have a fun time and is very happy and contented at the end of the day when I pick her up. I, as a parent also feel like I’m kept up to date on how my daughter is doing on things like her development, her mood day to day and also get regular photo updates and a daily summary so I can get a good sense of what she’s been doing over the day. Laura also makes an effort to get to know us as parents too which I really value. All in all would highly recommend Laura for childcare.
Laura looked after my 9 month old daughter during a pretty hectic time -- we were between moving countries and things were a little all over the place. I really wanted to find someone who could provide a flexible but stable and nurturing environment. As a first time mum I was also naturally anxious leaving the little once alone for half a day for the first time.
I needn't have worried.
From the first moment, Laura was extremely reassuring and so obviously great with kids. She went out of her way to answer any questions I had, and to accommodate any unexpected hours. All the kids in her care seemed very happy, and there were always fun and stimulating activities planned for them. Lots of outdoor playtime and park time etc.
Our girl was always calm and happy when being dropped off -- a sure sign she enjoyed her stays as she would certainly find a way to let us know if she didn't like being there!! :D I was updated throughout the day and it was clear she got plenty of one-on-one attention.
I can't recommend Laura enough. I feel very lucky we found her, and would certainly have continued coming here if we were staying in the area.
Thank you Laura for looking after our precious girl so well!
Laura has looked after my 18month old for a few months over the summer holidays and my little boy has been so happy with her. He runs into her house when I drop him off, usually forgetting to even say goodbye to me, and all I hear all evening is “Laura play, Laura tickle, Laura sing”, he evidently loves spending time with her.
Laura has been so accommodating with the childcare options, helping out with last minute hours when needed. Her communication has been great, the meals he has sound delicious and are really varied and she’s helped manage the transition from two naps to one seamlessly.
I cannot recommend Laura highly enough, any family would be lucky to have their child in her care.
