I'm Bekky :) Im currently based between both PR5 and LA4.
I am a friendly, nurturing, and fun-loving Nanny with extensive experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and mental health challenges. With over 10 years of experience in the health and social care sector, I bring a compassionate, thoughtful approach to caregiving.
My focus is on supporting each child’s holistic wellbeing—emotionally, physically, and mentally. I am passionate about creating a safe, calm, and joyful environment where children can relax, explore their creativity, and thrive. I love incorporating nature into daily routines, whether it's playtime at the park, visits to the beach or fun activities that help children connect with and care for the planet.
I can introduce mindfulness and yoga practices in age-appropriate ways, helping children develop emotional awareness and resilience from an early age.
I am fit, active and full of energy. I am an adventurous soul who has travelled extensively!
I love to learn & try new activities, exploring new places and experiencing and immersing in new cultures.
I hold a full, clean driving licence and have excellent references available upon request.
I have a current enhanced DBS check.

My Experience
I have been babysitting & nannying for a number of families since October 2022 within the UK and a family in Madrid, Spain.
Prior, I have 10 years experience within the health and social sector, including Special Educational Needs, within their homes and formal settings such as colleges, care homes and homeless shelters.
After travelling a number of countries in Asia, I relocated to Australia in 2019 where I changed my career path to work within hospitality for luxury resorts, giving me a range of experience within customer service, housekeeping, kids clubs and providing babysitting services.
On my return to the UK, I was employed on a private remote island in the Scottish Herbides until October 2022. Helping run 7 off grid cottages and a fully catered guest house sleeping 22. Holding events, housekeeping, serving guests, babysitting and general upkeep of the island, along with 5 others.
During the last year I have assisted the management of wellbeing events, retreats, healing areas and yoga tents at festivals and have volunteered at a wellbeing centre liaising with healthcare workers and people with chronic illness.
I also co-hosted a monthly mother and baby circle providing childcare and a safe space for mums seeking connection.
I have completed a range of different courses from health & safety and food handling, to substance overdoses in the workplace and basic sign language & Makaton.
I am always learning new things, including languages and religious texts and have a passion for self development.
I also know basic first aid and due to my healthcare experience, can handle emergencies swiftly and effectively.
I also have completed trauma informed, safety intervention training (for challenging physical behaviour)
I have travelled extensively throughout my life and believe this has helped me to become even more aware of cultural diversity and become a more self reliant, resourceful and independent individual.

BS Hons Social Work (First year credits only)

Bekky Looked after my non-verbal 6 year old girl for several weeks after school.
She was warm, friendly, easy going, great with my daughter and a good communicator. Bekky took time to ask me lots of relevant questions about my daughter prior to commencing care to enable her to best support my daughter.

Adeline was a pleasure to look after!
Both Mum and Dad were lovely and Bethany was a great communicator also.
Bethany provided any expenses prior to the bookings and paid invoices promptly.
