Spots & Dots Childcare

Hello
We are a home from home run setting 2 Early years Professionals co-childminding, working together to provide high quality care and learning for every child.

We provide Child Care in a bungalow and have a designated play room addition to the children using the other rooms. We can care for up to 13 children under 8 yrs. We also offer half term and holiday care for children over 4 years who go to school . We can also provide care for parents who have flexible working hours and who work part time.

We also provide NEF pre-school education for 3yr & 4yr old children for up to 30hrs per week. We can also offer 2yr old funding..

We like to take the children out and about the local parks to explore the changing environments, encourage the children to learn about natural colours.We also encourage them to splash about in muddy puddles and leaf fall. We go to the local library for story time and the children collect books whilst there as well. We also take the children to a local soft play group to help them develop their gross motor skills.
We also encourage the children to become as independent as possible and encourage each child to problem solve and take risks. We both have lots of experience working within the EYFS and all enjoy being outside in all weathers. We have a safe and secure garden that is great for children to explore as well as a covered area that they can access fresh air every day. Children are able to access the Sand Pit and Water Tray every day - all we ask is that you provide your child with a change of clothes. We also have some resident frogs and 2 friendly robins as well as a squirrel who visit our garden every day. This is in addition to having creative play such as glueing/ painting and playdough out each day.


During the week we also use the local nature reserve to provide Forest school sessions. Both Clare & Tracy are qualified Forest School Leaders

We are very passionate about working with children and enjoy helping them to acheive and develop to the best they can be whilst providing exciting, engaging and stimulating experiences relating to the childrens interests.


We have 2 small dogs called Nana & Teddy who are very friendly BUT they have their own separate space too.

We decided to start our own Childcare business as we couldn't find the childcare and learning environment we were looking for.

We provide lots of educational based activities to enable children to learn and interact with the environment from a very early age. We actively promote independence in children and encourage them to be problem solvers!

Because we work together we are able to have a slightly bigger group of children which is great for developing their social skills as well as enabling them to work together as a team.

We believe we have managed to acheive the best of both worlds - a very homely environment with nursery quality toys and quality experiences which are built on the childrens interests.
