My Summary
About Me
My name is Victoria Payne, I am 34 years old and currently live in Hoo, Rochester I am a mum to a little boy who is 5 years old. I guess my love of working with children started at a very young age as I grew up in a child care setting. My mum was an ofsted registered childminder with an outstanding rating so it was no surprise I went into childcare myself, I enjoy working with young children and seeing the world through their eyes, I thrive on watching them grow and develop. I aim to create a loving, caring, warm and well educated environment for young children to grow and develop and achieve all of the early learning goals. I aim to work closely with the parents and carers to create the best start in life for their children. I am hard working, honest and reliable.
My Experience
Sep 09' to date
Working as a full time nanny for a professional working couple. I started off as a sole charge nanny for the first born child who was 6 months old at the time. They later had a second child in 2011. I have therefore had experience in working as a mother's help as she was on maternity leave. I have played a huge part in the family's life as I have been there for almost 14 years this year. I have helped raised both children since babies, to now being age 12 and 14. I have been involved in preparing them for nursery, to school and to sit 11+ exams. While the children are at school i manage the busy home life of the parents, to ensure that life runs as smooth and easy as possible. I carry out all jobs big and small from simply popping to the dry cleaners, laundry, food shopping, and general household chores. We have grown extremely close over the years, so much so the children see me as their big sister. In 2017 I gave birth to my son and he very quickly became part of the family so I am well able to care for a number of children of varied ages. Both children attend private school, therefore have a substantial amount of school holidays. I always ensure we have a mix of things to do during the holidays from days out, days at home to do some baking or just simply spending quality time together and catching up over a board game, to having their friends over for play dates. I have always been in charge of all aspects of the children's lives, including clothes shopping, appointments, food shopping and preparation, health care appointments, holiday preparation to hair cuts.

Private Nanny- sole charge of a 6 month old baby and an elder sibling after school and on school holidays. My main responsibilities were taking care of the baby full time, which included meal preparing, basic cleaning duties, the children’s chores including bed changing and the laundry. We would attend play groups, parks and music sessions along with home based age appropriate activities. I was in charge of the collection of the elder child from school, so therefore would liaise between the school and the parents. While working in this role i managed the child’s nut allergy and would regularly attend clinics and hospital appointments.

Room leader at Bojangles nursery school
During my time in this position I managed a team of three adults and the running of the unit on a day to day basis. I would be in charge of activity planning, observations, day trips and outings and carrying out risk assessments on the environment. I would maintain the hygiene within my room and ensure the equipment was in suitable working order and age appropriate for the children within my care. It was my responsibility to ensure my team would work well and a create a fun and loving environment within our room. During my time with Bojangles i organised a fundraising event for Barnardo’s children charity where we managed to raise £1,500.
