My Summary
About Me
Hello my name is Jodie,
I am a registered childminder with a GOOD grade. I live in Chalfont St. Peter . I have a level 4 diploma in childcare and i am first aid qualified. I have been a childminder for over 10 years now. I live with my husband, 3 boys and girl. We love to be busy outdoors and meeting other childminders and children.
I was a nanny before childminding for 5 years in sole charge of 5 children. I love working with children, i like to be busy with lots of activities, fun and learning for the children.
I am a hard working, reliable and some one you can trust.
I really enjoy working with children, it is fun and rewarding and I feel it is something that I am very good at.
I am a hardworking and positive person, and also well organised and very punctual.
I do drop off and pick up from Robertswood school.
We go to music classes {tots disco}, playgroups, gymnastics, library’s, soft play and local parks, woods and have arts and crafts and messy play at home. I cook fresh meals everyday and provide breakfast and lunch. I follow the Eyfs framework and plan our weeks with lots of fun activities for the children.
My Experience
I have worked in lots of nursery’s when i was studying my Diploma in early years level 4. I have worked for 3 familys after leaving 6th form.
I firstly worked for a family of two boys as the mother needed someone to help her while she was having her third baby. I worked for them for 4 months and am now very good friends with the family.
My second job, i was there for 5 years, looking after 3 children aged 7, 5 and 3. I cared for them all day by myself, take them to school, cook, clean, homework, shopping etc. I also have worked in a nanny share caring for 5 children. I left these jobs to have my children and to be at home with them. I then went on to be a childminder for 3 years working with two assistants. I opened a nursery setting in January 2017, so have lots of experience working with all ages of children, forest school and working in a team.
I left in July 2018 to be at home with my children and to go back to my role of a childminder as I just love everything about it.

In a panic after not being able to take my daughter to my nans because the A40 was flooded, I rang around a load of different childminders & daycare centres to see if they could watch her for the day in an emergency. With only 15 mins left to go until work started, I called through to Jodie who agreed she could have my daughter for the day.
It was so nervie having to drop my daughter to a stranger but when I met Jodie I felt so comfortable. She was so warm & welcoming that even my daughter just went straight through & made herself at home. Jodie kept me up to date on my daughters behaviour, sent me a picture of a drawing they'd done & actually got my little one to eat lunch & dinner! So amazing. So lovely! Thanks so much Jodie! Xx
