About Me
OFSTED registered childminder registered since 2011 based in Northgate Crawkey. I live with my husband who is registered with Ofsted as my assistant and my stepdaughter who was born in 2000 and is with us alternate weekends. we also share our home with 2 small dogs, 2 cats The dogs spend the childminding day in with my father in the "grandad annexe" the cats tend to keep themselves hidden away once they have had a nose to see whats going on. My husband works shifts at the airport so regularly joins us on outings when not working, he, my stepdaughter, my father and of course myself have all been CRB/DBS checked. My husband and I are both holders of current peadiatric first aid.
We take daily trips to toddler and childminding groups, the local parks and library, we also have a large collection of toys, dressing up clothes, art and craft material and books at home. We have a large garden.
We are a short walking distance to Crawley town centre, Manor Royal Business Park, Crawley Train and Bus stations.
I can drop off and collect school children from Northgate Primary School.
I worked with children with additional needs for the 5 years prior to becoming a Childminder and before that volunteered in a nursery for 2 years, before making the decision to work with children I spent some time in Australia and worked for an Airline as a buyer at Gatwick and as an Emergency Medical Advisor for the NHS Ambulance service.
I offer full time care and am also registered to offer overnight care on an ad hoc basis.

Prior to that I worked as a contact supervisor for looked after children. looked after children and young adults with additional needs.

My hours are Monday to Friday 8-6. I may be able to work outside these times so please ask.

Kala is an absolutely amazing childminder. She was looking after my girls for 3 years and she really was “sent from heaven” for our family.
Her approach to kids is great as she keeps them entertained at all times, often organizing lots of outdoor activities. My girls love her like their own family and they have learned so much from being with her.
She also prepared my little one to start school so brilliantly that she was really confident in going there. She is a very caring person and she puts her heart into the kids she is looking after. I knew that my kids were safe with her and leaving them for whole days while I was at work was easier.

Kala has been looking after my 3yr old son for 8 months, he loves every minute while there, Kala offers a wide range of activities including dressing up, arts and craft and taking the children to lots of events and groups around Crawley.
She offers a fantastic home environment and has a lovely stepdaughter who my son adores!!
I would recommend her to everyone as she offers a fantastic service.
