About Me
My name is Vicky Cox and I am 51 years old, I have been married to Anthony for 20 years and have two boys age 17 & 15.
I have come from a banking background where I worked for 21 years. I decided to change career after having my children.
We live in a 4 bed detached quiet cu-de-sac in Studley, close to all amenities including park and local schools.
I am currently available to drop off/pick up from Studley Infants School and Studley C of E Junior School
Our home has been inspected and approved by Ofsted and caters fully to keeping all children fully entertained & occupied. We have a separate playroom which is full of toys for all ages, and a safe & secure garden with lots of outdoor toys, activities and sandpit!
In my home I continually strive to introduce children to new experiences, I have a large variety of age appropriate toys always accessible to the children. I follow The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), my aim is to educate children through play, to build their knowledge and confidence.
My business trading name is "Little Pippins Childcare"
I regularly attend playgroups within Studley, We also visit local parks and soft play areas - so children have the opportunity to mix with other children thus building confidence and friendships.
We also visit zoos, wildlife parks, nature reserves and National trust properties & grounds.
I hold a full clean driving licence and have done so for 34 years. I drive a large 8 seater people carrier. All children who are transported in my car will be in the correct age/weight car seat. All documentation relating to my car is fully available to view by parents.
My most recent Ofsted inspection graded me as OUTSTANDING in Sept 22
I am registered with Ofsted and a member of Pacey and my home has been checked by Ofsted and my Local Fire Officer.
Both my husband and I have had a CRB check, along with my 17 year old son
My Experience
My main experience is that I'm a mum to 2 boys, although I have been around young children all of my life as I come from a large family.
I started childminding in March 2011 and I can honestly say its the best decision I have made. I have truely found my vocation.
I love caring for children, spending time & teaching them new experiences - watching their faces when they achieve something new - seeing them develop & grow as individuals.
My Qualifications
I hold a paedriatric First Aid Certificate
5 star Food & Hygiene Certificate
I have recently completed a childcare course "Understanding How to Set Up a Home Based Childcare Service" - which is working towards an NVQ Level 3 Certificate
I regularly undertake refresher Safeguarding courses
My Availability
Monday - Friday 7.30am - 5.30pm
Occasional Saturdays 8.00am - 5.00pm
