About Me
I'm a mum of four and a granny of three
My objective is to deliver a child centred family friendly and safe environment in which the children will be empowered with self - esteem and confidence. I aim to create a minimal structured child led service which will involve your children in day to day activities.
To recognize the Parent(s)/Guardian(s) as the primary carer and I will strive to work in partnership with them in the development of your children and to keep them informed of such developments at all times.
To provide equal opportunities for all children under my care and treat each child as an individual. To provide key aspects of your children’s development and learning.
My Experience
I have worked as a Child minder for 16 years and also been a Day Carer for 14 years. I completed my HNC in early education and childcare also SVQ Social Services & Young People.
I also do 1140hrs /Blended / Eligible twos I'm also Volunteering at Springvale early learning Centre for experience with the blended hours.
Before Child minding I was Carer for a nursing home and also worked with children & adults with disabilities. I had to leave this work and bring up my 4 children. Once my children were starting to become older I was looking at opinions of employment that would fit in with my family needs. Child minding seem to be a great idea as it meant I could still look after my children and to work from home. I also do Day care Helen McNaughton the Development & Support Officer. Helen started me on the Induction Training which was 8 weeks of training. The 8 week induction training went through fire plans, policies and procedures, paperwork, booking keeping skills and I am registered with the information commissioner’s office (ICO) for Data protection the Data Protection Act 199 .
My business allows me to provide flexible hours to the parents this is useful for people looking for childcare.
