Why choose us ?
Cost
We are an Ofsted registered Childminder, therefore able to offer Free Funded Childcare, where you are able to use the funded hours and bring your little one essentials, nothing more.
We will not ask Top -up fees, daily fees, food fees etc and other imaginary fees.
Personalized Care
We look after a small group of children, allowing for more one-on-one attention. The care can be more tailored to your child’s individual needs, routines, and preferences.
We provide regular reports and daily pictures with feedback of what your child daily activities like. How much they enjoy its and what they learn from these planned activities. We give parents reports of 6 monthly Learning and Developments, so parents can see their child progress under our care.
Home-like Environment
We create a familiar and homely atmosphere. For some children, this can be comforting and less intimidating than a larger setting.
Flexibility
We can arrange flexible hours and can be more adaptable to your specific schedule (e.g., early drop-offs or later pick-ups).
I enjoy having an open-door conversation with parents, where they can come into my hallway and share their thoughts, concerns, and suggestions while dropping off or picking up their children. I find this extremely useful as it creates a lovely, free-flowing exchange of information between us. It also helps me incorporate their feedback into my next lesson plan.
Continuity of Care
Your child stays with the same caregiver throughout the day, and through-out the week and years to come. Which will lead to a stronger bond.
Community and Socialization
We have other children around, it will provide opportunities for socialization, though in a quieter, more intimate setting.
Also, we go out several times a week to Bigger Groups where your children will be able to socialize in a bigger setting.
We love going out to Museums, Parks, Light Railway, enjoy the surrounding areas.
Structure
We have our weekly theme, which children have opportunity to change as for us it is important to let the children's voice to be heard, so we incorporate these.
These themes are home based as well as go out to have a hands-on experience.
Example, when we are learning about Spring, Chicken and Eggs we will visit our local farm to see the eggs hatch.
We use the seven areas of learning as per EYFS ( Early Years foundation stage framework) , which are Communication & Language, Physical exercise, Personal & Social development; Literature, Mathematics, the World around us, Express arts and design.
Each child will have their own folder within their learning journal, which will provide detailed information about their development. This helps ensure a smooth transition from my setting to school.
Every child’s learning is observed and tracked so that I can create the best strategies to support their continued growth. Reports to parents sent to a six month basis; however we continuously working with parents to help their child achieve their full potential.
Our daily routine consists of the following: The children arrive, we greet each other, and then sit down for breakfast. Children choose their breakfast and help set up the table. We cut, chop, pour together so they can familiarise themselves with home skills as well. After breakfast, we begin our weekly theme, where we discuss our plan for the day where children are able to express their wishes and thoughts if what they would like to to that day.For example, we have adult led activities and children led activities in the early morning to practice Maths and Languages, then head out to Park, Playgroup, museum, Bouncy Castle, Forest School.
We like to go on day trip to the Whytall Transport Museum, Safari Park, Think Tank, Evesham country park. Stratford upon Avon. children learn more about local history and have the opportunity to see beautifully restored buses and a mini ride-on railway. They can also play with wooden mini railways. We enjoy a picnic lunch at the museum before heading back.
We like to cook homemade playdough together, colour it in different shades as the children like, and explore the patterns the toy trains create in the playdough.
In the evening, we start building our train track on the playroom floor. While doing this, we discuss what the children's favourite activities were throughout the day.

My Experience
We are Barbara and Dave, a husband and wife team passionate about nurturing young minds through an approach inspired by the Montessori philosophy and the great outdoors.
Dave is a Registered Nurse, been with NHS over 25 years but I have persuade him to work with me as I'm an Ofsted Registered Childminder a good few years now.
We always found joy in the simplicity and wonder of nature and the empowerment that comes from child-led learning. It became clear to us that we wanted to step away from our corporate routines and create something more meaningful -not just for ourselves but for the children and families we work with.
As a Mum, I know we want only the best for our children. As a Childminder, I want only the best for my minded children too.
Like to go sailing with my family ( freshwater lake in Hungary); also play Badminton, Tennis, Table tennis, football, Basketball, Volleyball,West skating, and skiing. I'm very organized and love day trips. Experienced to organise group day-outs.
Experienced from birth to 14 years of age.
Used to be an Au pair for several years in the UK and in the USA. I have looked after children from newborn to 14 years of age.

Barbara is great!! My son attended Barbara's setting for nearly 12 months. He's communication skills came on great whilst at barbaras, she always kept me informed how.he was getting on every day and things he discovered he liked. Barbara was always foing something with the children whether that be days out, park or craft work.. Barbara always accommodated our needs. Honestly, if you can choose this childminder then do! You won't be disappointed. I have certainly made a friend for life and my son also has friends with her family.

I work at the Alexandra hospital and needed my son to be collected from school from the first phone call she was great. My son has been going to Barbara for a few weeks now she picks him up from Woodrow first school. He is so happy there and from the first visit we were made to feel so welcome. He has an amazing time there and can’t wait to go everyday. I would highly recommend.
