Sue, is the best childminder around!
I first began using Sue around 8/9years ago when returning back to work after my first child. She was recommended to myself by a fellow colleague that also used her services. At first I was hesitant as primary care was always myself or my family. Sue made me feel at ease, and part of her family straight away. She’s always there for help and support or even a cuppa and a natter. After having my second child, I knew I wouldn’t want her being with any other childminder when returning back to work.
With constant updates and pictures you are never out of the loop with the fun and educational activities she provides. My kids absolutely love being at Sue’s, especially in the holidays when they get to spend the day with fun filled activities and playing with the friends they have made whilst being there. They always come home with some form of craft projects they have been doing in the holidays.
Sue is such, a loving, caring compassionate person and I feel she goes above and beyond her duties as a childminder and nothing is ever too much. I couldn’t ask for a better childminder who both my children and I adore!
I never leave reviews but you don't always get the chance to give praise and recommendation for fantastic work. I am a single mum working full time. My daughter has been with Sue since she was 2 and is starting school this September. Sue and Emma have provided a stimulating, loving environment in their home and welcomed her open arms into their family. As a teacher myself I found picking someone to trust with my daughter very challenging however we all clicked instantly and we've never looked back. They've developed her counting and pen skills through play brilliantly setting her up for September and starting reception (As my daughter is an august baby I did worry about her falling behind the other students) Emma and Sue liaise seamlessly with East Ardsley so I don't miss out on updates. They send me regular photos of her day making me feel so at ease (and less guilty for going back to work) which was helpful when I went back and they use tapestry to such an effect that you can track your child's progress along side the EYFS. As I mentioned as a teacher this was something I was keen to be in the loop with. When my daughter attended nursery (age 1 - 2 years in Morley) solely i found it a bit impersonal and not as in the loop with my daughter's day, It was the right choice at the time but understandable when so many children are in one environment. Originally I didn't want my daughter being cared for by one individual more than myself but Sue and Emma have supported by boundaries and rules and I feel secure in the fact they respect my views and decisions on raising my daughter.
I honestly cannot thank Sue and Emma for being so supportive and such amazing carers for my little princess. They've not only cared for my daughter but being supportive of me in those hard day's when work is challenging and your child is having a drama and you just need a good chat.
Thank you for everything and I look forward to the many years ahead .
