My Summary
About Me
My name is Jan and I live with my partner, Paul, 11 year old son in a semi-rural setting just off Chelsfield Village. We are surrounded by fields (with horses in them most of the time) and a small playground within walking distance. We have plenty of outside space for children to runaround and enjoy the surroundings. It is a very calm setting. We are a 2 minute walk from Chelsfield Primary School. We have lots of activities and days out.
We run an inclusive setting. Our aim is to provide a warm, caring, friendly setting for children to grow and develop safely and to feel valued and respected. We understand how important it is for you to feel your child is in safe hands whilst you are at work.
We would encourage the children to learn as they play, to value and respect other people regardless of race or religion. We would also encourage them to choose healthy options and I would provide healthy meals for them (we grow our own tomatoes, strawberries and runner beans).
We can provide before and after school care as well as caring for pre-school and toddlers during the day, all year round. We will have a couple of vacancies from Easter 2025 as well as the normal September, Christmas start dates. Age range from 1 to 9.
Paul is assisting me looking after the children and is registered with Ofsted.

My Qualifications
I have the CYPOP5 qualification provided by Bromley Early Years and approved by Ofsted. This course covered the Early Years Statutory Framework including learning & development, safeguarding, health & safety and behaviour management.
I also have current Paediatric First Aid.
Safeguarding training
Paul also has Paediatric First Aid and safeguarding training.
My Availability
We will have a couple of vacancies from Easter 2025.
Our hours of work are 8am - 6pm, but I can be flexible so please contact me to arrange a meeting to discuss your requirements.

My 2 year old son has been with Janet for a while now and he loves it. The set-up was exactly what my husband and I wanted and our son gets very excited when he knows he’s going to Janet’s and is always happy when we collect him.

My twins have been going to Janet’s for over a year now and they have always had a lovely time there. Now they are at school, they keep asking when they are next going back!
Janet offers a wonderful home from home experience with lots of access to fresh air in the amazing garden (surrounded by fields!)
The twins have always enjoyed going to Janet’s and been happy at pick up. They also got on very well with Paul and their son. Janet has also worked wonders with helping them to be more adventurous with food as they were terrible eaters before.
She has also been very accommodating to me and my childcare needs - I would highly recommend Janet as a childminder and will always go to her if I need childcare in the school holidays.
