About Me
I am 30 years old and live in Waltham St Lawrence. I am currently a full time primary school teacher in Maidenhead. As someone who has grown up around babies and children, I naturally gravitate towards them and love caring for them. I am very good at being able to tell if children feel comfortable with me or whether I need to let them slowly warm to me. I am very friendly and believe I promote the right amount of confidence to children - just enough to be outgoing, but not too much that it is overbearing. I am loyal and a reliable, punctual person. I believe it is just as important to build relationships with the family, as well as the children I look after, as it puts you at ease when leaving your children with somebody new.
My Experience
My whole life I have been surrounded by babies and young children and have always loved looking after them.
I started babysitting when I was 14 years old and since then, I have looked after children aged 0-14 years old, including a large amount of experience with looking after my younger sister who was born when I was 14 years old.
At the age of 17, I studied a Children's Care, Learning and Development course, where I did paediatric training and experienced working in different settings every term over 2 years. This included a special educational needs school, a baby nursery, a 3-4 year old nursery and different year groups in schools.
Once I qualified at 19 years old, I studied Primary Teaching at university for a year. After that year I then decided to change my route to becoming a teacher and trained while working as a teaching assistant in an independent school in Maidenhead. I am still working at that school, 10 years later, but as a full time qualified teacher, currently in Year 3. I sometimes work extra hours in the school’s nursery during holiday times, with children between 2-4 years old. I have first aid and safeguarding training every year as part of my job and background DBS checks are always carried out.
My Qualifications
Level 3 Children's Care, Learning and Development.
Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training.
Level 4/5 (Foundation Degree) in Childhood Studies.
BA(Hons) in Childhood Studies.
PGCE with QTS.
My Availability
I am available for overnight babysitting Friday and Saturday nights, however, I would need to leave at a reasonable time in the morning to get home for other commitments.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
£13 an hour. No extra charges for going past midnight if babysitting in an evening. If I stay overnight, there is a fixed rate of £25 from the time the child/ren go to bed until they wake up, which is when usual hourly rates will resume. I ask for £5 extra to go towards petrol costs for each babysit.
