I am a happy friendly active person with knowledge of dealing with children of all ages.
With eight years of child care experience I fully understand the need for a consistent, interesting, variable and fun approach to successfully nurturing children and helping them grow. As a person who has a love of the outdoors I have always made the best use of the local environment to provide children in my care with as many safe learning experiences as possible. I have a flexible and child first approach and am very aware of the need to fit in with the family and support them in all possible ways.
On a broader front I work with local young people as a fully warranted guide leader and have also worked in the past as a swimming instructor, working overwhelmingly with children, some of whom had special needs.
My Experience
Since qualifying in the child care field I have had a wide range of experience.
For the first two years I worked for holiday companies across Europe caring for children aged between 4 months – 10 years. I then spent 16 months working for Cunard on the Queen Mary 2 and Queen Elizabeth taking care of children aged between 2 – 16 years.
For the last seven years I have been working as a private nanny with all responsibility for three children. These children have now reached the stage where they are progressing into full time education and I am now looking for a new family that I can work with.
