My Summary

My Experience

I am a person that always works as hard as possible to achieve as much as I can to the best of my ability. As a caring person, I love working with children and I have developed my skills with 4 years of experience. In my first year, I gained experience of children of all ages through placements as part of my level 2 college course including Templewood School Nursery and the Barn Pre-School. I later worked at Circles Montessori Nursery and Footsteps Nursery on temporary assignments and gained experience of supporting babies, toddlers and pre-school age children. I learnt how to support their development whilst keeping them safe in a caring environment.

Most recently I have worked for 3 years at Jousters Childcare as a Playworker at 2 different schools in Hertfordshire at breakfast and after school club. Whilst working, I have been studying for a Cache Level 3 diploma in Playwork which I passed in May 2017

At Jousters Childcare, I looked after primary school children aged between 4 and 11 years. I designed and led many activities for the children including art and craft, cooking and outdoor games. All of the activities had to be suitable for children of different ages and different abilities and I have had experience of working with children with special needs. I was also responsible for the safe food preparation on certain days.

I want to continue to develop my skills and experience, support the children in their development and as a team player, work with and support other practitioners. In the setting, I am organised but also creative in the support of the children.

I am now working for the Rainbow Trust in a voluntary role, supporting children with serious illnesses, and I am about to start a one day a week role at the Paediatric Department at University College Hospital.

I like to contribute to society, both through voluntary work and raising money for charity. I have worked at the Sunday School at my church for 7 years, as a church server for 10 years, at a local pre-school during the two Summer Holidays and as a helper at the Library reading scheme. I have raised £2,000 for the Help for Heroes charity through charity walks and cake sales.

My Availability

I am available 4 days a week throughout the year and all week during holidays. I can be flexible for other times where needed

• Nannying from £7.50 per hour (gross)
