Wonderful Childminder

Maya is a brilliant childminder, I couldn't recommend her highly enough!

Both my son and my daughter went to her for 3 days a week from the ages of roughly 11months - 2.5 years. I always felt confident in her abilities and was certain that they'd be well looked after, even in the early days going back to work for the first time as a new mum. She is equally great with babies and toddlers, providing a range of activities to suit the different ages.

Maya is such a lovely person, always so happy and smiley that both kids warmed to her instantly and she soon felt like part of the family. It feels like she genuinely looks after the children as if they were her own... giving lots of cuddles and love when they need it, but also not being afraid to tell them if they aren't behaving appropriately!

Maya is reliable, trustworthy, helpful and collaborative and nothing is too much trouble for her. Also she is lots of fun... my kids loved going to 'play' at her house and she simply took the headache out of childcare for our family :)

Incredibly passionate and professional Childminder

Our son spent a wonderful year and a half with Maya at her lovely warm, bright and clean home in Kensal. As a Freelancer, Maya would go out of her way to help me with pick ups and drop off's as well as being as flexible as she could to change days and times. Maya is such a happy and lovely woman. She is always smiling and laughing, nothing is ever a problem. She is an incredibly passionate childminder thinking of the children at all times. Our son was more than happy to spend his days with Maya enjoying the toys, games, outdoors, food and company. A wonderful memory we have of Maya was her bringing all the children to Queens park and dancing with them all to celebrate his birthday.
Maya is an incredible childminder and I have no hesitation in recommending her. I couldn't be happier with the care she provided, so much so that our next one will be starting soon!

best childminder ever

You were my lifesaver when I moved to London and had to find a childminder at short notice. Like most parents I was concerned about leaving my very young daughter with anyone other than family. But Ava soon grew to love you and now 5 years later and several years since starting school you still feel like family to us! So lucky to have found you.

The best childcare you could wish for

My daughter has been with Maya for 2.5 years, I couldn't have hoped for anyone better for Iris to spend her days with. Maya was through a recommendation of some best friends, after she had looked after their children for over 5 years and I had seen the strong relationship she'd built with them, and am now so happy Iris has the same. The love, commitment, enthusiasm and care Maya shows to all the children is incredible. My daughter, not yet 3 has great language skills, and often is mistaken for a 3/4 year old, I believe a lot of this is due to Maya being so dedicated and focussed in teaching them, she has been taught them how to share, learn and play with all the children whatever their age. Maya also provides everything you'd want - healthy home made food, education, playtime, time outside, feedback - nothing is too much. I can honestly say that I could not have been a full time working single mum without the support, flexibility and love that Maya has given to both me and Iris.

Passionate, Caring and Professional

Being a first time mum and going back to education and training when your child is still very young is a daunting feeling for any parent. Then meeting many childcare providers prior to visiting a suitable one can give a person more reason to worry. This is why meeting Maya was a dream and I am so lucky to have found her! My child was minded by Maya for just over two years; she first arrived at Maya's at only 8months. Maya did not shy away from asking to hold my baby at first instance and was more than happy to show her certificates and her recommendations to me- we bonded straight away and from the start my baby was very settled and happy.

Maya automatically made me feel comfortable, she seemed confident in her ability’s, trained and also skilled to look after babies. My child absolutely loved going to Maya’s, which put my mind at ease throughout the time she was in her care. My child was always happy and made good attachments to other mindees of similar age in her provision and they were are all promoted to play and learn together.

Maya is very approachable, friendly and appears to listen to the children. Maya is always kind, calm and patient and has a really lovely manner with all the children in her care. Maya encourages good behaviour and deals with challenging behaviour appropriately. Maya encourages individuality and enabled my child to grow in to a confident and attentive child.

There were plenty of toys and the environment was always well sanitised and kept clean. Maya had a lovely homely environment to her provision and seemed able to interact with children of all ages. Maya took my child to drop-ins provided by children centres and to local parks ensuring security and safety at all times. Maya had a set daily routine and was always good at keeping to this.

Any special events, such as birthdays will never go unnoticed and will always be celebrated when the children were with Maya. Maya provided all the snacks and meals for the children, the meals varied throughout the week and appeared to be cooked well and of a well balanced diet. I would highly recommend Maya, she is 100% committed, reliable and experienced and I truly could not be happier with the level of care and consideration Maya had for my daughter while she was in her care.

Excellent childminder, highly recommended

Maya is everything we hoped for in a childminder. She is a complete natural with little ones. She’s warm and loving, and is incredibly adaptable to your child’s needs- especially when settling in or if they are a bit under the weather. Our daughter has been with Maya since she was 10months old, she’s now 2. She strolls into her home like it’s her own, she has friends and toys there that she loves. She greets Maya with a huge hug every morning. Maya sends us regular updates and photos of the activities and outings they go on. She really goes the extra mile for the children and ensures a good mix of routine combined with fun & new experiences. Maya’s excellent at communicating with the parents. When I’m away with work, she’ll send extra messages of how my daughter is doing. You can tell she’s a Mum as well as a childminder. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Outstanding Childcare

Maya is an outstanding childminder and looks after children in her care as if they were her own. She has been looking after our son for the past two and a half years since he was seven months old. She is warm and caring and I immediately felt that she was the ideal person to leave a young baby with. Her home is a warm safe environment suitable for both young babies and toddlers and is equipped to keep them entertained with lots of suitable toys and space. Maya follows the EYFS and has provided the children with a range of activities including art, mark making, singing, cookery and crafts. Our son's speech and language is well developed and she takes time to listen and give attention to the children she looks after. She encourages the children of varying ages to play and look after one another- developing their social skills. Maya provides the children with a wide range of weekly experiences including trips to the library, playground, local sing along groups and forest-school experiences in local parks. She provides the children with healthy home cooked food with lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. Maya is very personable and always has the time to discuss our son's progress and what he has done that day. The children in her care run into her home every morning with smiles on their faces knowing that it is a happy, safe and fun environment. I have no hesitation in recommending Maya as an outstanding childminder.

Experienced, warm and loving childminder

I can’t recommend Maya enough, I am so grateful for the care and affection she’s been showing to our eldest daughter Marianne since she was 6 month old. Marianne is 3 now and just started pre-school after spending 2.5 years with Maya full time. With my husband we like to say that if Marianne is such a cheerful and social little girl, that’s because Maya is like that and communicated her stamina to the kids she looks after. She demonstrates sincere goodwill and warmth to all kids in her care. I like that she mixes kids of different ages, teaches them how to behave and look after each other. She also brings them frequently to playgroups, playgrounds, library storytelling, music or dancing classes… to help them develop and get exposed to wider groups of children. She prepares home-made meals with lots of vegetables and fruits but also knows when kids need a little treat. Maya was also very helpful when we needed a bit of flexibility by bringing our daughter a little bit earlier for example – as full time working parents we really appreciated this. I decided to trust Maya with my 2nd daughter (6 month old) for the next 2.5 years and I trust she will do an amazing job again.
